I WAS transitioning, but then I realized that due to my boredom, I haven't really had long hair since high school (went natural in college/chopped it all off, then relaxed). So I decided to relax again & meet my forever goal of BSL before transitioning again.

I have very THICK hair, but retaining length seems to be a challenge. i had about 3 inches of new growth, which didn't really translate into length in the finished product. :ohwell:

But for 2012, I'm going to be focusing on healthy hair care once again =)

Please don't quote. :)

I feel so much like you. I haven't had long hair in a long time.:nono: It's my own fault due to multiple BCs and transitions. I miss my relaxed hair when I see threads like yours. Your hair looks gorgeous and lush!:thud:

Beautiful hair! My reasons for my failed transition sounds very similar to yours. I would love to hear what your reggie is.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil + Egg (Protein)

Honey, Nexxus Humectress, EVOO, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil (Moisturizing)

Relax 3x/year (every 4 months)

Air dry or dry under the hooded dryer or blow dry on cool

I haven't flat ironed my hair before this in 4-5 months since I thought I was transitioning. I'm going to try to flat iron every 1-2 months.

Styling: Blow outs, twist outs, buns/ponytails, + other indirect heat and minimal manipulation styles

but your hair is so healthy. Don't worry about the length. Healthy hair turns into long hair as long as you avoid scissor happy stylists!
