So i always hear people glowing about how much steaming has improved the health of their hair. I dont have enough money to purchase a steamer so i was wondering if i have clean hair and put water in my hair with a plastic cap and heat, would that have similar effect of opening my cuticles letting the water, moisture, in? What do you guys think

I think there is a method using warm/hot towels and a plastic shower cap and then more towels. I think that just using water may be damaging. The water may get too warm and cause bubble hair or cook your hair? I don't know. I am fairly new but there is a bubble hair expert on here.

I heard somewhere that bubble hair is a myth. Is that true?

About Bubble Hair from a blowdryer:

Honestly....
I think if you keep the dryer moving (or the flat iron) bubble hair should not happen.

Also, if you have bubble hair, you will know because it will be a different texture, brittle/rough/split and unable to style.
