Hello ladies, here's the reminder for the best Lunar days for cutting, trimming your hair. They are Wednesday and Thursday of this week, the 21st & 22nd. It's also Fall Equinox which is considered most beneficial.

Thanks for the reminder - I did this for spring and summer. This time it will be a scant dusting. I thought I read this could promote faster hair growth. Well I don't feel like my hair is growing any faster but it's definitely thicker. :)

Aww, you're so sweet... you remembered.
Thanks for the reminder. I think I may get to participate after all.

I was gonna wait until December but I don't really wanna cut right before year-end reveals.

Did you trim during the time for longer hair growth? I trimmed during the time for thicker growth and my hair did get thicker over several months.

Thanks I was going to wait til next Tuesday (new moon) but I think the Fall Equinox is more beneficial.

This is quite interesting because I tended to follow the lunar months when it was time to trim my hair. I never seemed to get increased growth when I trimmed my hair on the lunar months. The Farmer's Almanac tends to differ somewhat. I remember reading in one hair journal I purchased and she said you should trim/cut your hair on the new moon, not full moon. Anyhow I was researching this point last week and I found the Farmer's Almanac and they list several times doing the month that are the best times to increase hair growth. If you want to check out the link to the Farmer's Almanac here it is: http://www.farmersalmanac.com/calendar/best-days/

I'm going to try this method (Farmer's Almanac) to see if I do get increased growth. I won't be trimming my hair until next month after my touchup relaxer.

Thanks Coffee. I had started a mini thread wondering if it was today!!! Luckily i didn't trim as according to the chart i would have had retarded growth.

I follow this hair cut schedule for the last year and change, but isn't this a waning moon? I thought that's the worst time to cut. To be "careful" I always cut during new moon or first quarter in either Cancer, Pisces, or Scorpio as well as Taurus. I'm confused why are the the equinox and solstice the best times?

Thanks for this information. I usually trim my hair in the first quarter of the new moon and missed the September quarter. Tomorrow is my birthday so I'll give myself a trim.
Thank you.

Darn it! I missed it again. My hair is put up now. I've been on it the since last year but recently I've fallen off. I'll have to be ready for the December one. Well I do my cousin's hair today and maybe she can benefit since she always misses it.

Yay I did it ! Now time to protective style (weave) until I get to hip length! My stylist is coming to my home on Tues, so I'm counting down the time. I've gotten to the point where I love protective styling (mostly braiding and sometimes weaves) because I appreciate the end results. I've never tried the morrocco method just the full moon each time I do it during pisces, etc when it's most beneficial. We'll see about this whole fall morrocco thing. Maybe I'll have a huge surprise waiting for me after two-3 install periods (or braids depending on what I decide to do after two months). Hoping to protective style until Feb or May depending on my mood,

My three girls and me are washed, trimmed done and dusted :giggle:

All done over 2 days. Phew! What a marathon for me, because they all have long hair down their backs.

My oldest (11yrs old) wasn't too happy to be having a trim, but was necessary. Does anyone know how long before we start seeing results from our lunar trim?

Got my dusting in last night. Hope this works. Cuz my SO laughed when I told him what I was doing. He then said "babe...you and this whole hair thing". I gave him the stink eye

I trimmed an inch yesterday, but I can't trim any more until the Spring Equinox. I'm at month 30 into my transition and I don't want to do a final BC until next summer. If I keep trimming, I won't have any relaxed ends left to BC lol

eta: Thanks for reminding us! @Coffee

I dusted about this much off __ on the 21st because I needed to, but I think I may follow this schedule just to see if it works(for me)
