I've been strechening my 14yr dd hair since end of March. Once school ended the last week of May I didn't think it made any sense to touch it up for the summer months. She is really bad at combing it all the time. I kept her hair in crochet braids all summer long. A week before school (8/3 school started) I took her to our beautician. She didn't want to retouch it because I had just taken the braids out and she believes relaxers don't take as well right out of braids. She suggested I braid it again (individuals) to give her a little more lenght.
ok no problem so i braid it up. I realize I'm right back where i was the end of july. I want to take the braids out tomorrow and wash her hair. I've made an appt for her this saturday.
Here is the problem. Personally I'm not good at styling hair with that much new growth. She has thick 4b NL hair, maybe a little longer. I have no idea what to do with it, let me rephase that i have no idea how to style it that makes her comfortable.
I had two ideas, slick it back into a ponytail with beeswax/curl moisturizer which will give her pretty waves and add a phony pony on there. or
maybe put some flat twist in the front but not sure what to do with the back.
Any suggestions on how to style her hair for couple days?
