Colored Hair after I made the wig with Revlon Colorsilk in #10

I got the whole idea from this video. I copied the way she made, colored and installed the wig. http://youtu.be/_Gc_nqc-b14

Okay I watched that whole thing. I don't know how you could make braiding your hair interesting, but you did.

How long will you wear that wig at a time? That is considered a wig and not a weave right?

I bet you could do amazing things with just braiding... wonderful and pretty patterns.

LadyRaider thanks...i installed it yesterday..its considered a wig/weave :lachen:

i like this method way better than the sewn in method because my hair really gets to relax...no sewing on top of my braids (except the edges)...and i can re-use this wig after taking it out.

i will keep this on until i relax in October.

Great job! @trendsetta25

Can you use the same method with straight or wavy hair?

*I'll be subscribing to your channel :-)

Nefertiti0906 yes you can...the second link (where i got the idea from) she used Virgin Brazilian Wavy hair. She also had EL or NL hair so she didnt braid her hair underneath like i did.

I would suggest that the braid pattern be a tab bit flatter (if your hair is as long as mine [.25 inches to APL:lol:] or longer) than the way I braided my hair.

I love this method so much that I will do it with my next install in November. Stay Tuned!!!

BTW i have a contest going on right now. I'm giving a pack of Bohyme Brazilian Wave hair to one of my subbies. The contest ends when i hit 400 subscribers.

OMG that was great ! You have inspired me to try this method next time I do my hair. When you cut the wig cap it does'nt cause tears or runs ?

I watched your video with my boyfriend and at the end of the video he said "I know I just saw the whole video but that's her hair." LOL excellent blending.

trendsetta25 You are a pro, from the braiding to the blending and you made it look so easy!! Your hair looks so beautiful and natural, I need to try this, but I feel like it would take me forever.

That was cute how you finished off the look with a little lip gloss.

thanks @Jetblackhair. It's really easy to do actually. I think the hard part is braiding the base. And yes, i needed the gloss

@trendsetta25, you used a weave cap and not a wig cap right?

Weave cap:

I think that's why another poster asked about 'runs'. Again, your hair looks very pretty and blended well. TIA

yes i used a WEAVE CAP. The weave cap seems more secure to me and has adjustable straps on the back. I'm glad i used this hair as a 3/4 wig. I think I'm going to make more wigs. It's fun to do and easy on my hair. Plus while I'm in between installs, i can just select this wig to rock for a week

Girl, you are SOOO beautiful and your natural hair is full and luscious. The weave is gorgeous. You are so good at doing your hair.
