It's a long story, you should read my post about "My experience with NaturalistaCosmetics. It didn't lose volume, that's all they put in the jar. It may have been to get back at me for complaining so much :lachen:.

everyone calm down. when she whipped it it was probably full. due to the weather being so hot it melted into an oil and now only takes up half the jar. it happens when i make butters too and it happens to my kbb creams. there is more oil than butter in the product so yea.....it just melted.

but to add on, i did read the other thread and was like :nono: at their lack of CS.
i purchased mine locally and the ingredients on my jar is different than whats on the website. i wasnt too fond of this butter anyway.

Based on her description it's not a butter, but a "juicy leave in". She still isn't selling a full 4 ounces, it's more like 2 ounces. To me that is false advertising; you pay for 4 ounces and only get 2 ounces :perplexed. I'm almost afraid to use it now :lachen:.

Yeah, I'd be upset. :nono: Have you tried contacting her about it, Coffee? This HAS to be a fluke, I refuse to believe otherwise.

I sent her a picture of it. I'm still waiting on an email I sent her yesterday. She may or may not respond; I know she's tired of me, just as I'm tired of dealing with her company .

Yeah that's how it comes. It's melted. U can try putting in fridge for the "full" effect. I was shocked when I received to

Padrica would have to explain to me why she sent me a half full/empy jar. That's ridiculous! @Coffee please contact her. Don't let that mess go.

I put it in the fridge and it's solid, but still 1/2 jar of it :perplexed. If she's selling 4 ounces, she should put it in a 6 inch container to make sure people get their 4 ounces worth .

According to the ingredients listed on the website, it is a mixture of shea butter, oils and glycerine. Most whipped butter/oil mixtures will settle this way after they melt. Another thing to consider is if she is selling her products according to weight or volume?

Coffee, you did the right thing of sending her an email with a picture attached. I get the theory of the product being whipped so it melts due to the heat and settles but I would let the COMPANY explain that to you instead. Just so you know for sure you weren't getting the short end of the stick. :look:

Her website says 4oz, which I take to mean 4oz, not 2oz melted :lachen:. So you'd be paying $18 incl shipping cost for 2oz of product :lachen:.

Geez...this company is not doing right by you at all Coffee. I'm not even sure what to say, the shipping issue rubbed me the wrong way but...4 ounces = 4 ounces whether it melts or not.

4 ounces = 4 ounces whether it melts or not.

I was coming back to say precisely this. A product shouldn't be 4oz. when whipped then 2oz. when melted... Then it's just 2oz. and the fact that it's 4oz. when whipped is just 2oz. of air taking up that space. :look: Anyway, like I said, you were right to send in a picture Coffee because if that's how she packages and makes her products then SHE should explain that to you since it's her company, then you can decide whether or not you'll be a return customer.

You should not have to guess or theorize about the amount of stuff in the jar or have to get advice from a hair forum on how to make your jar look full. If it is the case that 4oz melts down to two, that should be indicated on the website. That way, you can decide whether or not you want to spend an additional $9.00 on air. I have made my own whipped shea butter concoctions that didn't melt down to half even when it was 85+ in the home. If anything, she should put 8oz of product in the jar so that you get the full 4oz when melted. Anything else is just straight foolywang :(

I was not happy with my order from this company. The Juicy leave in did not ship well in the heat and did not smell or feel good when I got it. Others have had wonderful experiences with it, but I decided there were just to many other options for me to worry about it. I basically threw away 28 bucks on 2 products because I ordered the aloe flax gel as well. I went to her site today after a well known blogger was raving about how the juicy hair leave in is one of her favorite summer products. I noticed that the price increased from 10 dollars to 12.50 and the size is still 4 oz. I noticed the packaging has been upgraded and made more colorful. Some people have great success with this company and the products but I'm just not interested.

I'm sure if you raised this with NaturalistaCosmetics, they'd be happy to help you out in any way they can. I know it wasn't intended at all because I have used this product before. It is very whipped and if it melts, it'll look less full. Anyhow, just raise it with them and I am very sure Padrica will endeavour to correct this..

the gel didn't work for you either?
i didn't like the smell either...

For the ladies that keep telling OP "its fine, just contact her and she'll be glad to help you". Read the post next time. She's clearly already contacted the woman and is waiting for a reply.

But anyway, that's why I don't buy butters (really any hair product) from eretailers over the summer. Anything I need during the summer I make sure to buy locally. And I always look into the jar before checkup. :look:

No, the gel did not work for me. Not enough hold. I used it on a friend of mine who has relaxed hair and I twisted her hair for her. The gel did fine as a soft hold to keep her hair from unraveling. I'm considering just handing over the rest of the bottle to her so that it will be used. Also with the gel, you have to keep it in the fridge or it turns to a complete watery substance. I think this is from it not shipping well when I orderd and it was hot. I'll have to keep in mind to maybe not order hair products in the summer.

I dont know much about the owner of this company, but I do know a lil about coffee and I most say she is a WONDERFUL lady, very very nice and for coffee to have to go thru so much from this company is NOT right! Sorry Coffee
