What do you *think* your hair type is?

I'm a 4b. Used to claim 4a/b but after being on here a while and reading all the typing threads I eventually came to the conclusion that really I have 3 or 4 different types of 4b going on instead.

When I first BCed I thought I was a 3c/4a mix due to conflicting information, but now, without any doubts I am 4a in the front and 4b in the crown and 4a in the nape.

But I notice on here and other hair boards whether due to miss typing or just desperately want to be a lower hair type than they really are. I seen people say they are a type 3 and they look like a straight up 4b.

Without getting into the "3A for two strands on the right side, 4B for the 6 strand patch in the upper left quardrant, and 2C on my legs", my prominent curl size is S shaped 3C.

When I was natural, my hair texture grew out in a tight 4a S-curl texture at the roots, which I could easily rock in a TWA. But because it was prone to extreme frizz and SSKs at longer lengths due to my lack of knowledge on how to care for it with the right techniques, tools and products, it would end up severely dull, damaged and dry as it grew out.

Now that I know better, if I decide to transition again I will know how to rock my 4a curls into pretty APL lengths and beyond. It will just take a lot of work to stretch it to show the length, due to the amount of shrinkage I tend to have (70% or more).

No clue. See my thread above. I *think* 4b, but my hair doesn't resemble other's who say 4b. Definitely not 4a or 3anything (I used to think 3c at the nape, but not sure anymore), so no man's land hair type.

Its weird that even though I've always claimed 3c/4a, in my eyes, especially in RL I feel like im 4a , until I see pics of other 4a's or go around my 4a friends and the difference is obvious...

thats how i feel when you see a ''TRUE'' 4a its totally different to what 4a is on the forums 99% of the time IMO ...yes i added percents
