I have so many products i sometimes use more than necessary so i can get rid of yet another bottle ,it makes me less guilty for indulging myself :drunk:

If I see a product that is ending and it's not my fav... I'll hurry it up so I can have an excuse to buy me some more!

I only use a lot of a product if I don't like it and want it to finish quick LOL. So yeah GUILTY AS CHARGED.

Sometimes lol. It makes no sense how much conditioner I glob on sometimes just to get through the bottle because I'm tired of looking at it.

I know it's for a different reason, but I usually glob on product when I know there isn't enough for another application. I'll just slather on the bit left because I KNOW it won't cover but half of my head next time.

Yup. Me too!

I do that with conditioner mostly. I may do a detangle/prepoo session with conditioner and do a second conditioning cycle after to get rid of a bottle. If anything my hair benefits from it.

Guilty.
I'm about to do this to my bottle of Aussie shampoo just because I want to start using Dr Bronners.

Yes I do..If its a conditioner i really dont like and i am tired of looking at the bottle.

Hanging my head in shame but yes I do:nono: I don't do that with hard to get/find products though.

My new thing now, in an effort to get rid of the bottles and bottles of stuff I have, is to:

1. mix a portion of shampoo with a lot of conditioner and some oil and water to thin it out. This will be my broke-down version of a cleansing conditioner.

2. mix a portion of flax seed gel to regular gel. This will preserve the flax and give a softer hold for styling.

3. liquify butters in a double boiler, add oils and use for HOTs and/or make a whipped pomade

It's going to be pretty hard to do this because I am so low maintenance with my regimen these days. :ohwell:

I don't necessarily use more of a product more, but I am more inclined to use a product if it's going to expire sooner. For example, oils.

Ha, ha! This is SO me. In fact, I was just thinking about this last night. I wanted to finish up my Mango butter daily moisturizer, so I could go back to the one that I used before my setback (Profectiv). So, I've been wearing buns daily, because my hair has been overly-moisturized so I could use it up. I'm guilty too! :lachen:

I keep a tight budget. So, I have done this just so I can buy another product! LoL. It was a DC that I wanted. So my old DC I dumped the other half on my head and said "ooh I'm out I needa get some more." Next day I went to the store and got the new DC.......

I'm a cheapo. I never do this. I tend to have a few conditioners in circulation so even when a conditioner is running low and what will be left will not be enough for the next use, I will either turn the bottle over and stand it that way until next time; then start off with what's in the cap next time and add on from the new bottle of the same (I use the same things more or less). Or I might add water to it just so I can rinse it all out of the bottle when I come to use it--if I don't have more of the same--and use this diluted final bit first on my hair and then condition properly with whatever else I have enough of.

I hate waste and know that my hair can only use SO MUCH OF ANYTHING...so putting it on my head when it's more than enough to me is no different from just turning the bottle over and washing it down the drain.... Not something I'd be able to live with.

in this economy? nooooooooo way! i'm trying to get every last bit out. i've also found my staples, though, so i'm not rushing to try something new.
