Flaxseed Gel on a Braidout?

Has anyone done this? If so, how did it turn out? Did you use a leave-in under it?

I haven't done a braidout but I did do a twist out (a la naptural 85's defined twist out method and twist stretching method) using flaxseed gel and yes i put a leave in under it and sealed with whipped shea butter.

I've done several braidouts. I used a leave in and m & s when my hair was 80% dry. Then I used the flax seed gel. I was very pleased with the results and my hair did not frizz up like it normall would.

Does flax seed gel help with hold or provide shine, or is it for moisture? I haven't heard of this before.
