TRANSITION OVER! 11-22-14
There is a sale today, but you can't use it on Wen, Kinky Curly, or As I Am products. THIS IS THE STUFF I'D LIKE TO BUY! Boo to Curlmart! BOO! :ot::cry4:

Seems like whenever they have a sale Wen is excluded and the other ones you mentioned might be as well..

They do this every sale they have. KBB and Miss Jessie's is usually never part of the sale either.

OYIN did the same thing for this year's 4th of July sale... It sucks but I still bought stuff... *shrugs*

ummm dont most stores do this. I've never seen a site or store that has everything on sale at one time.

Never seen it from Qhemet,Darcy's Botanicals, Komazacare...I'm excluding Carol's Daughter because I never ordered from them.:ohwell: Looks like Curlmart won't be seeing a dime from me this July 4th.

I wrote that "most" stores do this not all, so I am not surprised many products are excluded.

Also those sites you listed sell their own brand not many other brands.

I thought it was the manufactures rules, not the vendors. I've NEVER seen Kinky-Curl on sale anywhere. Nowhere online or on the ground. Whole Foods has sales on all brand on rotation, except for KC.

The other brands mentioned has those same rules. I think its the manufactures not the vendors, but I could be wrong.

Thanks. Never thought of that. However, it will make me not use the products again.

Curlmart has had these stipulations for the longest time. It certainly isn't new so don't feel like you missed out. That stuff never goes on sale.lol Every email coupon I have gotten from them since I signed up for that site back in like 2008, they say "excluding Kinky Curly, WEn..."

Yeah, it depends on the manufacturer. If they want their product to have a prestigious appeal then they will not allow consumer discounts on their goods. They want a certain image applied to their products.

OP thanks to your post, I took advantage of the discount and placed an order.

oh Coffee:nono:

I would like to add that Qhemet also puts a sort of restriction on sales as well, like you couldn't use the discount unless you spent a certain amount of money.

I just want to co-sign on those who said that this is a vendor issue, not Curlmart. I used to be an asst. manager at a department store and whenever the store had sale events, there were certain vendors excluded per an agreement with the vendor.

I know it sucks, but I just want to make sure that no one holds Curlmart responsible and chooses to no longer shop there.

Even if those brands were included in the sale, it wouldn't matter (unless you plan on buying ALOT). You'll still have to pay for shipping. You can't combine the free shipping over $60 with any discount codes.

Yep, it 's the manufacturers :yep:

When I sold a popular handbag brand at Macy's, that was one thing they the vendor impressed upon me when I asked why they were excluded from coupons - that it was their decision not to be included because they had a certain image to maintain.

They were already dealing with rampant knockoffs, and they didn't want to add 'cheap' handbag to the list.

Echoing the "this isn't new cries". The sale ad from curlmart is always accompanied by this little note excluding WEN, Kinky curly and Miss Jessie's (and the new additions) from the sale.

yeaaah it's been like that on curlmart for YEARS...where you been? the vendor doesnt allow the discount i believe.

I had no idea! However, the sale was useless to me because those were the products I was interested in. It saved me some money by not buying.:drunk:

The ONLY time I have EVER been able to get Kinky Curly on sale was when I had a Groupon discount for a local beauty supply store, and I used it on KCCC.

@DD if you want Wen, it's probably best to order through them - the other week I was watching an infomercial and they had all three products for $30.

I'm not sure I want to try Wen, but my inner PJ is begging me to.:ohwell: I have friends who have long hair relaxed and natural who use wen. Their hair looks so moisturized and healthy. Maybe in the future....

Well, one way to look at it to curve out your pj is that it is not the products, it is how gentle you are with your hair and what you do to your hair that will dictate how healthy your hair is. Unless you are seriously ill, your hair grows out of your scalp healthy. It is what you do to your hair that causes it to become damaged...
