isnt she starting her own product line? that may be why...
I like the mixture but nothing to write home about. And how can she sell the recipe esp since their KNT in it.
I think she has to reformulate the entire formula. I don't think she can sell it as is.. She needs some preservatives and stuff.
It always bothered me that she marketed herself by taking someone else's excellent product (Knot Today) and adding a few things to it (like so many mixologist's have for years), but then claimed it as "her leave-in recipe." I guess her disclaimer is that she said "or your favorite conditioner" but most of those did not seem to work as well. But I guess at the same time it makes her brilliant, because it did work...videos all over Youtube and posts all over the net, including here, about "Kimmaytube's Leave-in".
Note to youtubers: You can't take down ANY of your videos with out receiving a lhcf lashing. How silly!
This isn't directed at the OP because I genuinely searched for it a few weeks ago and couldn't find it, but it amazes me at how people expect her to continue "contributing" to KinkyCurly's revenues without her getting any profit. I'm sure their profits went sky high since her posting that initial video. Now that she's making her own products y'all expect her to continue promoting other company's products... No ma'am. That's like McDonalds telling people "oh burger kings french fries are just as good as ours. "
Kimmy didn't purposely market herself that way, her viewers did. Whenever they referred to the mixture it was called kimmy's leave in. Kimmy just shared a recipe that worked for her. She wasn't trying to build a business empire off of knot today. Methods gets attributed to people all the time. Sylver2's scarf method, curlynikki's twist n curl, sareca's oil rinsing, chicoro's sealing method. It doesn't mean they originated the idea, people were doing these methods before them, they just made them popular.
