I've never, ever been impressed with Humectress although I've tried it many times. Even when I was a teen my mom used to buy it but it never seemed to do anything. I really like the Keracare Humecto, but I'm also quite fond of ORS Hair Mayo and ORS Replenishing Pak. Right now, I alternate the ORS conditioners and the Keracare. I also alternate the Keracare shampoo with ORS Creamy Aloe shampoo (clarifying.) I've used Miss Key 10 en 1 and Greit 12 en 1 dominican conditioners. They were ok but not any better than the ORS or Keracare IMHO.

I voted Keracare. It gives me the best slip ever! Although some of my other favorites are dominican. I use the following dominican conditioners...

-LaFier honey & almond
-Miss key 10 en 1
- capilo whale sperm??? something like this. i think its a protein conditioner

I'm such a pJ!

I saw the whale sperm conditioner in the store yesterday and I was shocked! Does it really have whale sperm in it?

I read in another forum that sickbaybiz.net (or .com) has Dominican products for a discounted rate and ships at reasonable prices. I have to check and make sure that's the right web address, but you can google it to find it if it's not. HTH

I use both Nexxus and Keracare conditioners on my hair at the same time, but Keracare Humector's quality is different however depending on where I purchase it from. I'm also wondering if I'm just outgrowing Humecto period.

However I just tried Nexxus Humectin and I believe it is much more moisturizing than Humectress (I always have to mix a little glycerin with this).

The dominican conditioners I've tried so far just deposits too much cones in my hair and no moisture. Hair felt dried out after I rinsed.

I don't like Dominican conditioners, Keracare, or Humectress.

I like Italian and Spanish conditioners like AlfaParf, Salerm, and Alter Ego.

I love my Dominican conditioners and my Nexxus Humectress. They all serve different purposes in my hair regimen, but I do use my Dominican conditioners more than Humectress. I use Humectress after henna treatments, Aphoghee 2 step, or Elasta QP Intensive Treatment.

My favorite Dominican conditioner right now is Baba De Caracol! Loves it, my hair stays moisturized and I can comb through my NG with ease. I also love Spain and Brazilian conditioner's too.

I used Silicon Mix earlier this year, and now it is one of my permanent staples! I've never used Humectress of Humecto.

I have only used the Humectress so I have no comparison with the other conditioners. I co-wash it with while hair is in braids or twists. I get a nice puff using coconut oil after a co-wash on loose hair. It also does a good job after a heavy oiling, washes out the excess but leave my hair soft and manageable. It has been a keeper for over 20 years.

I have used several different Domincan conditioners and I love them, especially the Aloe Vera based conditioners. However, Nexxus humectress conditioner works best on my hair. I have never tried Keracare conditioner.

I use the dominican conditioners because they are cost efficient and they work well. I use them mostly when i am about to straighten my hair. I use 10 en 1 mixed with QH cholestorol for a DC.

but i :love4: them! :)

I've tried Nexxus, and used it for about a year. I loved it at first, and then I found Dominican deep conditioners( boe crece pelo, capilo honey & milk(these 2 are okay), but my favorites are Miss Keys 10 en 1, silicon mix, la bomba universal - looooveee these!:drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk:, not sure if alter ego counts but I love it as well.)

I've never tried Keracare yet, I'm stuck on Dominican deep conditioners:lol::lol:

Tried both Nexxus and Keracare, they are alright I guess. I would love to try a Dominican conditioner, too, but seems too hard to get a hold of.:perplexed

NOt really you can find really good Dominican products and tips products at, rihefra.com they are having a sale $20.99 for a 4pc combo set.

my girls and I loooove baba de caracol and boe crece pelo makes our hair really soft and full :yep:

My hair loves Keracare. I tried Silicon Mix but it turned my hair into straw. I'm not sure why.

I chose Dominican conditioners. Keracare Humecto didn't really do anything for my hair and I've never tried Humectress.

Most Dominican conditioners are low cost and they seem to work very well with my hair. My absolute favorite is Baba de Caracol Intensive Treatment. That one leaves my hair super moisturized and soft. Salerm Wheat Germ is also a good one.

HairGroupie , Silicon mix is great product. however it is 99% mineral ingredients which is OK to enhance our hair texture and shine, but it is not a deep treatment that contain high percentage of natural ingredients or protein and our hair needs nutrients at least once every two weeks. If you use a product such as silicon as your only treatment, chances are that your hair will become weak and dry specially if you don't use natural oils, vitamins

Baba de caracol ingredients are excellent source of natural protein and contains the nutrients our hair needs and not only our hair but our scalp also benefits from baba de caracol, that is why no matter how long you use baba your hair will love it (simply because you are treating it with something more natural)

it is one of my favorites also:)

Rwayda, thanks for that explanation! I guess that explains why Silicon Mix didn't do a thing for my hair. I tried Silicon Mix once and I hated the way it made my hair feel. It didn't seem to really work on me and my hair was still dry once I washed it out.

Some peoples hair react really well to silicon mix, and some others dont agree. but I always suggest that, it is not good to use it as a deep treatment or hair care line but only as an enhancer.

I guess your hair hate it because it love to be pampered :)
