I keep hearing about Dominican conditioners, but is it even worth the trouble of shipping and ordering costs? I've never used, nor seen one. I love my Humectress, but for those of you who've perhaps actually tried both, or all three, I'd especially like your input, too. Which in your opinion is better?

i chose dominican but i haven't used the others.

i just bought miss.key conditioner and i use avocado a few times...

I'm on ORS replenishing kick right now..i love it.

sorry maybe i should of just stayed out of your thread

I had to go back to the tried and true Nexxus Therapy and Humectress. They work best for me.

I've tried Miss Key 10 En 1, Canelo y Suelo (or something like that ,) and some other wheat germ stuff.

However I am pleased with Dominican products, I just prefer Nexxus.

Keracare Humecto did nothing for me, however I like the detangling shampoo.

No problem, you've actually helped :) I appreciate yours, and the others' feedback :)

Tried both Nexxus and Keracare, they are alright I guess. I would love to try a dominican conditioner, too, but seems too hard to get a hold of.:perplexed

I see that you have thick hair and you really like humectress, so I think I will give it another try. Do you mix it with anything?

Nexxus Humectress is my all time staple. The Keracare Conditioner....not very impressed. Loved the Shampoo though. I have tried Miss Key 10 en 1, I liked this also but Nexxus is my favorite so far

psst....try Anky for the dominican conditioners.

My tried and true is Humectress. It seems no matter what I use, I always go back to my Nexxus Humectress.

Really? Im definitely gonna give it another whirl, especially if you like it.;)

*Thanks for the dominican tip*

I've tried Nexxus Humectress & Keracare. They're both OK, but I'm in love with Sedal Keraforce. In general, my staple conditioners are Domincan: Silicon Mix & Miss Key 10 en 1. I like them because they detangle REALLY well.

BTW...Humectress worked on bone straight hair, but not with my texlaxed hair. I just didn't see what was so great about keracare humecto either.

I love Dominican conditioners! Praital Silk Worm Rinse is a good detangler (brought it from Anky), Capilo Milk & Honey, Capilo Cinnamon & Sole, Rysell Tropical Coconut Treatment & Tropical Wheat Germ Conditioner works great on my hair.

I can see that being true because my hair is relaxed bone straight and sometimes I can't even get through my hair(the shampoo) either. The conditioner seems to give me better slip if my hair is wrung out a little versus it being soaked with water for some reason.

I guess Im going to have to come rep for KeraCare. I used to be a fan of KeraCare Humecto Creme Conditioner, but I decided to try the KeraCare Moisturizing Conditioner for Color Treated Hair and it left my hair so soft and silky that I will never go back to humecto. But everything doesnt work for everyone. I would love to try the Dominican porducts, but if it aint broke dont fix it.

I love me some Humectress it one of my staples, but Silicone Mix does something to my hair, NG and all, that no conditioner has ever done. It gives me shine, major slip and the comb just glides through my hair 2months post + some. I also like Emergencia, and Miss Key 10 en 1 for strenghtening + mositure combo. Humectress does an excellent job at putting mositure in.

I use dominican products only when i go to dominican salons. i don't get the same results using the same products on my own for some reason (like the 10 in 1, etc.).

At the salon, they mix the different conditioners and put it on my hair but not all dominican salons are created equal (so they could all use the same products in my hair, but some salons know how to put that extra bounce in my hair, while with others, my hair is flat before I get home).

at home, i stick to what i know.

I am a conditioner junkie and I love Dominican Conditioners and Keracare Humecto in the tub only.
Humectress does nothing for my hair and makes it crunchy.
Silicon Mix, SalermWheat Germ Mask,Sole & Cinnamon,kAN Kanchomn Jaborandi Deep Conditioner are my favorites and believe me I have tried quite a few dominican conditioners.

I started my journey with Humectress and Botanoil poo and it was going well...then I went PJ and ended up with KC Humecto...admited the detangling poo is great, but I became less and less impressed with humecto as the product got thinner and just didn't seem to maintain my moisture.

Silicon Mix was ok, but ultimately I went back Nexxus...this time their Phyto Organic line..LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the Theratin poo and Humectin Conditioner...if you love Humectress you've GOT to try Humectin! It's AWESOME!

I haven't tried Humecto and Humectress is jsut ok. Silicon mix is moisturizing and gives me that slip, slip, slip that I need. I've used quite a few Dominican conditioners over the years. The olive oil, aloe vera, and milk and honey are great also.

I probably had no right to vote, since i've only used Dominican conditioners and have never tried the others.

But i looove my Dominican products. They are life-long staples for me!!!

I love Tropical Avocado, and use it religously after my henna treatments. I didn't know it was a Dominican product until recently.

I haven't used Nexus products in 20 years but I recall back then I liked them.

I am NOT impressee with Keracare Humecto nor the shampoo. I prefer
Elucence and I also use ION Anti-Frizz products.

Nexus does nothing for my hair. My stylist uses it after my relaxer, but I just go home and wash my hair and condition it again anyway.(I leave with a wet head so no big deal on the re-wash). I have never tried Keracare, But I got the hook up with the Leave in Lacio Lacio. As I use up some of my other products I will be slowing adding more dominican products. I love the results and the texture of my hair. I can't keep my hands out of my head, feels like somebody elses hair, not mine.

I just discovered that my favorite local BSS sells Dominican products (Orlando ladies, its the BSS on the corner of OBT and Michigan). I think Im going to try a product at a time and see how they work.

I love Dominican conditioners. My hair responds really well to them. They're all I use. For a reconstructive conditioner, I use Lafier's Proteinol conditioner. And my for my deep moisturizing conditioner I use Sedal's Anti-Sponge conditioner. And for my roller wraps, I set my hair with Sedal's Ceramidas leave in conditioner. Yay Dominican conditioners!
