This haircare journey has been an interesting one for me, I never thought I could live without my black gel, relaxers, and spritz!
I found LHCF in 2008 and decided to go natural the very next day. I had to grow to love my texture, I didn't have soft ringlet curls like my father or a shiny butter soft mane like my mother. While transitioning my grandmother always mentioned that "I needed to take better care of myself" (aka. "why would you walk out the house without your hair "not done")..
But to make a long story short, I ignored the urge to return to the crack, ignored the negative comments, and continued to learn to love my hair. And in return it loved me back.
Now on to the pictures.... 2008-PRESENT
