offer some type of discounts for the 2 hair forums I am a member of.
He also replied to my email I sent last night. I have sent him the names of the hair forums I am a member of and he'll call me early next week to brainstorm on how and what discounts Stockngo can offer us.

This needs to be moved to the other part of the forum so not just anyone will get the discount. Remember anything discounted is supposed to be for paid members.

I got the 20% coupon email but have not ordered from there...yet. I registered when I first visited and clicked around a bit. I went back later to buy but couldn't get items to load in the cart. When I went back again there were minimum purchase quantities required on the items I wanted.

With the additional 20% off I plan to check again and see if there's anything I want to order.

If there is an LHCF discount, that would be great for future purchases. Thanks Coffee!

Edited to add... the coupon is on the site. Just click on their home page and the code is there "MOM20"

yes, i just did about an one hour spin through their site and i couldn't find any damn items other than the "Ethnic marketed" products with purchase stipulations

now coming from the dirty south, where I encountered many a separate but equal stance.... (perhaps it's the spirit Trump already put into play with demands and degradation of Barack (through the media) like he is his 'Boy':rolleyes:

but.....this **** doesn't sit well with me at all.... both because it was instituted just days ago, and that it targets, and denies the equal purchase/buyer participation of only one group of people

yes this feels ugly Coffee, and I'm not sure why

you know that feeling..... of when you know exactly what you're looking at, but you continue to find rhyme or reason to justify it:perplexed

feels as though I've been doing that my entire life in situations like this & others where I am from

no black brands are listed as Top Brands, so (i think someone mentioned we may have been buying them out?) .... this just is absent of any good logic

I seriously cram to understand:look::grin:

Nonie bear what do you think.... innocent marketing tactics? :nono:

and there is one product that I can vouch for... one of their brands marked by 2 minimum "IS NOT PACKAGED TO SHIP from the manufacturer IN NO DAUUUUUUUUM 2's":lachen::lachen::lol:

that is just silly, and I know I have old cases of that product directly from the manufacturer...it is a blatant lie, I pretty much doubt many others as well:nono::lol:
buy that was a dumb lie (reminds me of the ones my ex use to tell:rolleyes:)

tHENATuRALhAiRpRoJEcT, I wasn't privy to this vendor or this saga and don't really use stuff I can't find at the Vitamin Shoppe or CVS or Amazon  ...so I'm still trying to make sense of what is going on. :lachen:

I've only read to this point (your post) so I apologize if my post is redundant.

I do think it's funny that they are using the wholesaler's packaging and rules as the reason they pass these on to customers. Isn't all business like that? You buy in bulk at wholesale so you pay a low price per item then you mark up and sell to customers at the cost of one item...and because you paid so little per item, you can still mark it up and get some profit even if you offer the products at a low price. I've never heard of customers being forced by retailers to buy in bulk. It seems just so silly that in their greed they will drive away people who don't want 19793279 bottles because they only sell in bulk. They should be creating an incentive for people to buy more by making greater discounts available for bulk orders not compulsory.

I dunno why y'all are putting up with their bull. One of y'all should just become the LHCF supplier and get orders and collect money from folks for the price one bottle would be at that low price if one only wanted one bottle and then order the bulk and pass on the fair price to Nikos' cousins. That way, it's a win-win situation. Greedy vendor gets to clean up his stock as fast as he seems to want to  and everyone gets only what they need at the RIGHT price. Easy does it!

ETA: tHENATuRALhAiRpRoJEcT The interesting thing about y'all having one supplier who's family is greedy vendor won't get as much demand...since instead of twelve people buying 48 bottles because that's all they can get, there will only be one person buying 12 bottles (3 packs of 4) and satisfying all 12 people. Demand goes down for greedy vendor, greedy vendor is forced to play by the honest rules and quit the madness. You just all need to unanimously agree to boycott them in favor of one source on here and he'll get a lesson on how to do business right. ;)

I left a message in the comments sections after I placed my order inquiring why the ethnic products came with a min number of products after reading your post Coffee. I told them it didn't make much sense to me that only ethnic products are shipped to them prepackaged because I know plenty of stores that sell Paul Mitchell that unpack the products from prepackaged shipments and find it hard to believe that Paul Mitchell does not ship to them the same way they ship to ALL other vendors. I'm glad you brought this to the attention of the forum because some people will just accept what they are told(sold), me being one of them sometimes. I didn't bother to look at the min order of the other products until you posted this. I started a thread about Bumble Bumble and noticed there wasn't a min when I went back to the site to place an order for IC gel. It's so sad that this continues to happen in 2011. So sad.

exactly what i thought of... especially since my first order was $1,400:ohwell:
(after 20% off)
however.... my only grievance is that alllllllllllllllllllll the other product users don't have to hustle up their orders to achieve a small amount of fairness

I swear sometimes we still have to drink at the water fountain marked "for blacks":yep:

I went back and looked at the site. Even the 20% off isn't enough to overcome the minimum purchase requirements so I didn't order. I didn't realize that it was just on the ethnic products, though, until coming back here.

I'm glad I didn't order.

It is quite evident that he takes issue with those he thinks utilizes "ethnic" products. I know he won't see a dime of my money and I would hope that no one on this board patronizes these people.

He shot himself in the foot with not only his minimum requirements for his ethnic products but his justification for applying these "requirements" - Evidently he has some kind of preconceived notion with respect to doing business with African Americans not knowing that African American women spend more on their hair than any other race in the world.

Coffee - If I were you, I wouldn't even waste my time going back and forth with these folks as we all KNOW what's up...I wouldn't be surprised if he was a card carrying member of the Klan. The last correspondence he should receive from you is that he just lost the potential to increase his business tremendously with his simple minded thinking...

Nonie You've been here long enough to know that is not a good idea here.

Keen :giggle: Actually I haven't been privy to this not being a good idea coz I tend not to read threads on product issues. I've never bought anything from anyone here or really been involved in the vendor forum coz like I said, CVS, Amazon and the Vitamin Shoppe are within easy access to me and serve me well, not to mention, I'm no PJ so I'm not really into reading threads on new product reviews, finds or experiences. I only showed up in this thread coz I was mentioned otherwise I skip over these sort of threads coz I don't really care for products outside of what I already have. But I do know of members who've pioneered products that were a hit...so since seems like a bunch of folks can see when unfairness is blatant, it seemed like you could all make the best of it by coming together. I am a member of another forum and unless things have changed since the days I was active, I could so see this working there. They were a smaller group though so....

Anyway, I see I'm out of the loop and missing something coz it seems to me that a lot of people who suddenly become a source of a product just find a way to buy a lot at a low price and sell it to many. It wouldn't even have to be someone claiming to be the LHCF supplier. Just someone with money to spare or already a website just jumps on this and makes money by stealing this vendors customers. But what do I know. :dork:

I will def avoid shopping at this store. Glad I saw this! I will pass this info along to my blog readers and youtube subscribers as well. I can't believe people are still ordering from them. What they are doing is sooooo obviously racist. :nono:

Nonie Surely you've heard of the infamous lady (God rest her soul) who collected money here and other forums to buy weave in bulk and did not deliver as promised.

Here's what I was talking about in the other thread. There are a handful of beauty product manufacturers out there, with the exception of the entrepreneurs.

Loreal, for example, brands include

Major Products: Hair care, skin care, sun care, color cosmetics, toiletries and fragrances sold under many brand names in different channels. Consumer—Garnier, L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline, SoftSheen-Carson. Professional—L’Oréal Professional, Kerastase, Redken, Matrix, Mizano. Luxury—Lancôme, Biotherm, Helena Rubenstein, Kiehl’s, Shu Uemura, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Cacharel, Viktor & Rolf, Diesel, YSL Beauté. Active Cosmetics—Vichy, La Roche-Posay, Inneov, SkinCeuticals. Personal Care—The Body Shop.

I'm pretty sure Mizano is a typo, should be Mizani. The other ethic brand is SoftSheen Carson- includes Dark and Lovely, etc... Case and point, that warehouse story is rubbish. Most products are the same thing with tiny changes (if any) made to them.

Here's the full list of Top 20 beauty brands: http://www.beautypackaging.com/articles/2009/10/top-20-global-beauty-companies
I can go through and find the same thing for all the other big names, P&G, Unilever...If they really try to argue it's a warehouse thing, just point this out.

Keen, believe it or not, not before yesterday. The first time I heard of such a story (not sure if it's the same one you're talking about) was yesterday when someone brought it up in the billionaire thread. I even PMed the author of the post to get more details and then sort of learned a bit more from some of the comments others made in response to her.

I would never have even entered a thread on weave hair coz I don't wear weaves. You'll be surprised at how many threads I skip over. And even if it had been a discussion on braid hair, I am so happy with the hair I get from hisandher.com that I've never really considered buying elsewhere so I doubt I'd have bothered to read. I'm one of those folks who doesn't fix what isn't broken. Even if someone told me there was a better deal elsewhere, I'd be skeptical about quality and reluctant to change what is working for me.

So yeah, I had no idea there was such a swindler around. I tend to only go to threads that have some relevance to me or that I can offer info on. A thread on weaves would not have slowed me down. LOL

i honestly agree Martina
I WOULD SAY PERHAPS WE SHOULD AS VLOGGERS TO TALK ABOUT IT...

BUT IT MOST PROBABLY WILL BACKFIRE BY GIVING THE DISTRIBUTOR FREE PUBLICITY:nono::nono::nono:
