You know we all love slip, so let's admit to how we've been slippin on our hair reggies. I will start...

1. I haven't sealed with oil in over 3 weeks.

2. I've been on my hair journey for 1 year and 5 months and I just started wearing a satin bonnet to bed. :nono: I know and I am so ashamed.

3. I rarely protective style.

Okay, now that I got that off my chest. I can up my game and get to handling business. Come on ya'll. Admit to something.

1. I haven't been co washing.
2. I forgot and tied my scarf too tight and my hairline is sore at the front.
3. I stopped moisturizing daily.

I've been protective styling though via twists and wigging it. I'm getting ready to get back on it.

:nono: Now, now, that's all right babies! Tell mama everything! The truth will set you free. Let's not get too crazy though! Just remember we can tell the truth to our hair sistas, but don't try that mess with work, husbands, or strangers. That might get you fired, divorced, or smacked up.

I hate sleeping with a scarf on my head because it always comes off in the middle of the night :heated:

i haven't been sealing...i've been going long amounts of time (for me) without washing...i've been applying product on top of hair that already has old product on it...i've just generally been hair lazy...i can't wait until this semester is over...

I undid my braids to find out my hair had some breakage I was so pissed off although my hair was slightly thin on the ends I will not trim... I love the takedown process but I hate to see shed and broken hairs: (

I comb from root to tip. Tried it the "correct" way but more hair came out. I wasnt about to continue to do the "right" thing even though it was producing negative results.
I love my stylist. I got my hair done for Easter and she used Pump It Up! *crowd goes wild*

I love combing my hair. Its nothing like getting all that dead hair out. DAILY

I love brushing my hair. After moisturizing and sealing?! Oh yes ma'am best feeling ever.

I dont stretch. I have very little interest. I relax bone straight and it looks straight for about 2 weeks. 8 weeks+? uhhh I think not.

Oh yeah! Forgot one! Im considering not moisturizing my hair during the week and relying only on my DC. Im trying to weigh the outcomes of the manipulation of moisturizing/sealing (I get little broken hairs that are millimeters long) vs. not moisturizing and sealing and no manipulation. Decisions, decisions.

mischka, try one small bobby pin on either side, pinning your hair to the scarf.

SuchaLady, I've recently come to the same decision myself. I'm not sure if it's because I'm transitioning to texlaxed or because my hair is so fine. :ohwell:

:yep: I'd say go for it, It's def worked great for me. This is what I do (I'm natural, btw). I wear a lot of rollersets. I add my leave-in or moisturizer (idk what it's considered, whatever) before i set, and that's it for the rest of the week. if i'm lacking shine, I'll spray some oil sheen on that mug.:look:

I haven't been sealing. I actually haven't sealed in over a year I found it to be...unnecessary. but I think I might start again.

I comb from root to tip. Prior to joining this board when I would touch up I would do the new growth then smooth then like like last one to two minutes before I would rinse I pulled the perm down to the does. Now that I have learned the correct way I'm having more problems.then when I did it the other way.

Honey Bee & Rocky91

I may just do that. I keep my conditioner on my head nearly all day anyway. And maybe I'll touch up with a moisturizer midweek.

:curtain: For the past 2 weeks, I've gone from moisturizing and sealing daily to only twice a week. And I slept without a scarf last night. :takecover:

i snatch out SSN, i used a regular comb to detangle my hair, i colored my hair and it left a tiny bald patch in the crown area.

I color my hair.
I still use a rat tail comb for certain styles and rollersets.
I dust my hair on somewhat of a schedule.
I use my Tangle Teezer to detangle on wet or dry hair.
I use a stylist for trims and coloring my hair.

I love mineral oil. .. ugghh.

I always think about taking MSM again even though I'm sensative to sulphur

My hair loves cones and I have no plans to go cone free.

Most sulfate free poos make my hair feel like straw, I use regular shampoo 95% of the time.

I woulld steam every single day if I didn't feel moisture overload.

I can't get the front of my hair to twist to save my life. :(

i've shampooed 8 times in the last 10 days only so i can finish this bottle and start my no poo regimen :spinning:

How dare yall come up in here with these hair sins

Anywhoo on to my confession:
I too no longer seal my hair with oil as I feel its unnecessary I stopped weeks ago and my hair is fine.

I only moisturize my hair when I feel it needs it which is atmost 3 days a week.

I too exercise 3-4 days a week and only wash 1x a week. I may co-wash 1x in the week if my hair is drenched in sweat.

1.I comb my hair daily, several times a day (that's why I'm in a weave now)

2. I can't stand washing my hair in braids- so I don't. I separate in braid sections then undo each, 1 at a time, for poo then rebraid to undo again to add con/dc then final rinse all loose. That defeats the purpose b/c there's still a lot of tangles and manipulation when I'm done.

3. I brush my front edges while wet ( to slick down) and it's wrecking havoc on them.

4. My last weave broke off the very bottom of my nape and I don't care. I figure it will grow back from the constant moisturizing and leaving it alone- I just want to get to APL already.

I don't cowash anymore, I have one wash day a week and will probably only do my hair twice before the next wash day. I have been really bad this week, I put new products over old products and i used a blow dryer twice :-O.. I havent touched my hand held dryer since last august tho. hmm other than those I really try to keep in line.
