(Forgive me I tend to be wordy). If you leave them in too long your hair won't dry all the way and they won't stay. I leave mine on for like 8 sec at the most. In some areas I only leave them on for 4 sec, but I have very fine hair. I don't use the covers, and I use end papers. I use duck bill clips instead of the covers. Allow the rollers to cool completely before removing. Don't pull the rollers out- unroll them.
My caruso morning routine:
1. Rollers in. No product. Just rollers.
2. Shower cap, jump in shower.
3. Out of shower, take out rollers.
4. Wrap hair (I like mine with a "bumped" look).
5. Get dressed, unwrap hair.
6. Lightly oil spray after styling.
Sometimes if I'm waiting for someone else to take a shower I'll take them out before my shower. But I make sure they're cool first. And the hair is dry.
Mine is really old and has no ionic setting. I just plug it in, put a roller on, count outloud, and put it on my hair. I actually have my hair pre parted and in my left hand when I put the roller on the steamer with my right hand. Then once I count to 4 or 8 I take the warm roller right off and put it on my hair immediately.I don't mind!! lol. I haven't tried them without the covers yet, and I feel like I really have been leaving them on way too long. I know I leave them for at least 20 seconds. I will try the duck clips!
Her set turned out really pretty!!!! Do you all usually use the ionic steam setting or just the regular steam?
