After quite a long hiatus, I am back with an update. Here's my regimen and comparison pics. I'm a slow grower, but at least I've made some progress! I'm no longer my own worst SHS.

I wash with Loreal Sulfate Free Shampoo (for normal hair) once every three weeks (I know, I know, it's gross, but it's working for me :ohwell: ), DC with Redken Butter Treat for eight hours (usually overnight), air dry (Smooth N Shine Silk Fusion) and flat iron (Shea Moisture Shea Butter DC as a heat protectant), moisturize (Yes to Cucumber leave-in) and seal (mix of wheat germ oil, jojoba oil, and EVOO) maybe 2 times per week, pin curl nightly, relax every 5-6 months, and NO trims since June of 2010, only dusting. I don't plan on trimming until I pass brastrap.[FONT=&quot]

Here's the pic. It's also in my siggy, but that may change:

You give me hope because I just had a disaster/setback! You achieved a lot of growth in a years time, hoping I can do the same.

Congrats! After my mishap in fall of last year I'm so encouraged to see pics like this. Keep up the good work :D

Yay!!! It's been forever girlie, but we're glad you're back. Your hair looks great!!

Thank you ladies! I appreciate your encouragement. My hair has never been so healthy! It took me six years, but I finally got my regimen down and I STOPPED being so dang scissor-happy. I'm hoping the KISS method and my new belief in lead hairs will get me to my goal of BSL (maybe even MBL!).

Good job retaining :) you have to do what works for you so if washing every three weeks does it for you then that's what you've gotta do.
