Kind of a dumb question...

I've been using a topical growth mix (sulfur, MN, jbco and MT) and I'm just starting to see it work.

I apply at night and baggy. I cowash at least every other day. Then I moisture and seal.

I want to buy a set of curlformers to set with to start wearing styles that show more of my length (slightly past armpit in my longest layer) but I want to know if I will still be apply to apply my growth aid? For some reason I think that since I wouldn't be cowashing as much leaving the mix on my scalp for say, a week, would cause negative effects or something. Does this make sense? And if so, I will wait on the curlformers until I get to my present goal of BSL, because I don't want to stop the aod while its just starting to yield results.

Anybody got any stories or something on this? Idk why, it just seems like it would be bad....or am I being paranoid?

I think it would be ok...I used to use the same exact mix and would wash my hair once a week like i do normally. I don't think I got any adverse effects from doing that. HTH!
ETA: Be careful of the buildup that may occur since you're wouldn't be washing as frequently as you are doing now!

THAT (bolded) is my major concern. MAybe if I add a weekly ACV rinse or wash with a clarifying shampoo as opposed to just a regular shampoo??

My Sally's doesn't have any CFs right now anyways... *sigh*

But I'd still like any advice you lovely ladies may have to offer...

I don't think there would be any negative effects, I would just make sure that you properly mask the sulfur smell. You wouldn't want to be walking down the street smelling of sulfur because your have 7 days worth of it in your hair :perplexed

Good Luck!

Pahaha! VERY true. That'd be :nono::nono: lol.

Yeaaaah, I'd get a clarifying shampoo to get rid of that nasty buildup, b/c the white chunks will come :lachen: But then again, you don't wanna clarify too much and strip your hair. Hrm...kinda like a Catch-22 there...:perplexed

Maybe someone more of an expert can help out here...

^^ Man, saying "white chunks" instead of buildup or gunk...just seems so much...more disgusting lol! Maybe I'll say it that way to scare ppl more. LOL!

:lachen::lachen::lachen: girl you silly! Hey I'm just sayin'! The MN in your mix will buildup very quickly. Maybe it would be light yellow chunks cuz of the sulfur! I think that would be worse :look:
