I wanted to display my nicer hair toys on my bathroom counter. I think I got a little carried away at Home Goods and Michael's today. Still, I like it. It was fun to make. I used the hard foam stuff they use for floral arrangements. I might change that and put a dish with marbles or something to hold it, like the smaller dish has. Anyway, here it is:

Love it!

How has your hair been since the professional straightening?
I'd like to know if you have any straight pieces (you know heat X) and if not, how did you NOT get them...spill it!

Thanks. I didn't suffer any ill effects from the straightening as far as I can tell. I don't know why, but nothing bad happened. Reniece knows, I think, how to not use too much heat and to use good heat protectant.

The displays are very decorative, Mwedzi!

mwedzi - Do be careful, though, that the stones, marble and rough fibers that are used to stabilze your hairsticks do not scuff or dull the finish on your hairsticks. Each plunge of a stick into the material, or the jostle as you stir through them to select one, may scrape or scratch the veneer of your pretty treasures over time.

ETA to add tag.

I love to see crafty little displays like this!

Any time you feel like doing an up date thread post straightening, we would LOVE to see it!

Thank you. This is something I'm concerned about. The smooth marbles may actually be the gentlest, I think. Some people are LHC have been storing their toys this way, so I'm asking them if they have noticed any damage. The foam is something I'm not sure about, though. I'm thinking of using a small brush to lacquer the holes in the foam I made so it would be smooth on the inside. It would be nice if I could just plunge it into the moss, which is very soft, but it's not strong enough to hold the stick up. I will keep thinking about it! In any case, it has to be less jostling than how I normally store them, which is piled on top of each other in a drawer.
