a sulfate free shampoo and a good deep conditioner? i'm checking out some products but it seems they are always missing one or the other.

Renpure is an awesome sulfate free poo and it's reasonably priced. For a DC, I recomend Biolage Conditioning Balm.

i just went to the local bss and my neighborhood cvs hoping to find something so i could wash tonight but it looks like im going to have to buy online... neither store had the elasta qp, biolage, or renpure sulfate free shampoos, even though they had some of the other products.

Bee Mine. I LOVE the DC, but have only used the shampoo bars so I don't know how the liquid poo is. I love the bars, though.

you'll be better off going to Vitamin Shoppe, Wegmens, Whole Foods, Target, CVS, Ulta and the like. Sometimes salons even sell them as well.

I like Giovanni 50:50 poo haven't tried the other types, and Shea Moisture Shampoo though I have to lather twice with that one. Aubrey Organics I use to DC with is pretty nice as well.

Aubrey Organics (Wait...I don't use their shampoos. I guess Giovanni...but I don't DC with them either. I give up! )

I happen to like DevaCurl Low-Poo for shampoo.

Just be aware, I find that you can't use sulfate-free shampoos exactly like sulfate poos. Some don't lather up immediately and may require that you let it sit on your hair for a minute or two to let it work fully.

Trader Joe is another place that people seem to rave about their poos and condish. You find what you need there locally.

Just wondering why do you prefer to be exclusive to one line? I don't think there's any harm in having favorites from two (or more :look: ) different lines.

Anyway, if you're into natural stuff I'd take a look at Qhemet Biologics, Oyin Handmade or Curl Junkie. All lines have shampoo and conditioners you could use as deep conditioners. Oyin has the Honey Wash and Honey Hemp Conditioner. I've seen it mentioned that the Whipped pudding could be used as a deep conditioner, but I don't know about that. I like the shampoo. It's not a staple for me because my scalp doesn't like it too much, but it makes my hair feel soft and cleansed. The Honey Hemp conditioner is alright as well. Depending on the initial condition of my hair though, it can act a little funky on my hair.

Qhemet has the Egyptian wheatgrass cleansing tea and the Moringa Tree conditioning ghee. I've seen that the Amla and Olive Heavy Cream could be used as a deep conditioner. I couldn't rinse that stuff immediately after putting it in my hair, it's too good to just rinse it out :nono:.

I haven't tried the shampoo's from Curl Junkie though but the conditioners I've tried are really good. I'm tempted to try the shampoo's but my scalp is picky so I'll stick to trying more of the conditioners :yep:.

Keracare is a good line to try, but don't just subject yourself to one line. It's hard to be great at everything. It seems like some lines are perfect in some areas (like Keracare's Hydrating Shampoo) but then not as good but okay in other areas (their Humecto Conditioner and moisturizer). You ahve to try things out and see what's best for you. I like:

Keracare Hydrating Poo
Keracare Humecto or Silk Elements Olive Oil
Wave Nouveau moisturizing lotion for a moisturizer
Olive Oil to seal
Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayo for Protein (Or Aphoghee)

Matrix Biolage Colourcaretherapie Delicate Care Shampoo and Colourcaretherapie Delicate Care Masque. The poo is sls free, and really moisturising; and the masque has really good ingredients including avocado oil and ceramides. I use em both and love em.
