it's 2011 anyone using a GIOVANNI PRODUCT as a staple?

I used to use Giovanni Nutra-Fix Reconstructor.

It was considered a staple early in my HHJ (but I have since moved on to other products).

It's still a good one though.

I used/still use:

Smooth as silk poo and con
Tea Tree
Clarifying or Hydrating
Magnetic Poo and con
Blancing or Moisture?!
Frizz Be Gone Serum
Frizz Be gone Mist
Nutrafix
Direct leave In

PM me for more info! Love the line and have used it for 3 or more years exclusively

I use the Giovanni Smooth as Silk conditioner & the Direct Leave-In. Initially, I had issues with the Direct Leave-In. That is, until I learned that a little goes a long way, and it's better on wet hair. I also use it as a base for my spray bottle mix.

I bought a liter bottle of the 50-50 (for DC), but it wasn't moisturizing enough for me. I've be using the rest of it up with cowashing.

SN: The definitely need to redesign the containers...annoying.

Giovanni's Smooth as Silk and Direct Leave-In are staples. My hair loves aloe, so the leave in is great, especially when aloe leaves aren't readily available.

I bought the Wellness conditioner in the green bottle last month. So far, so good.

ok now i'm mad:look: i finally got my GDLI after stalking it for nearly 2 years:look: ..... and i'm mad b/c i thought i had my staple, and now my staple is no longer my staple:yawn::yawn:
my beloved kcnt may have just been outdone by GDLI:nono::nono: (both mixed with aloe juice)
for less than 1/2 the price
o-m-g
did you mix the GDLI for the kimmaytube's leave-in?

I saw this thread and had to try it. Weelllll I'm happy to say my gallon of smooth as silk conditioner was delivered on Friday. I just hope it continues to work throughout my transition.

I LOVE the Smooth as Silk Conditioner. Bought the Liter sized bottle and I use it all the time.

The Tea Treat Shampoo dried the STANK out of my hair! I tried to do 2 washes w/ it after going a while with a twist out...worst decision ever! A matted mess it was! Felt clean but stiff. I think I posted a video on my YT channel about it.

Go to LuckyVitamin.com they sell sample sizes of almost the whole Giovanni line. they're 2oz bottle for like $1.50 and their 8oz bottles are less than $5. Great deals!

I've used the Leave in the reconstructor but it seems to work better since I am transitioning..

I usually get mine from Vitacost.. Which the bottles are $5 or a little less and the shipping is $4.95 flat rate always..

Ok, it seems like many people have issues with the Tea Tree Shampoo. Well, I already ordered it and am not scared to try it. Is there anything I can add to to so it won't leave my hair so hard???

Ok, so now I don't know where I stand. I'm new to my HHJ and this has been the first and main product I have used. I have these versions:

Direct-Leave In 2003 & 2009
Tea Tree Shampoo 2009
SAS Conditioner 2009 & 2010

When I started using then in early 2010, I don't even know which version I was using. All I know is that it felt great. Then, it didn't work as well on my hair (as a newbie, I simply thought I was doing something wrong). Come to think of it, I bought my first bottle on sale at walmart so it was most likely the old version. Then I made my second purchase at Target, which had a seemingly fresh stash of natural hair products (so I assume it was the newer version).

So now I'm wondering which version is actually best for my hair.

On another note: If my hair doesn't like the one with the Aloe high on the list, should I even bother trying to use Kimmaytube's Leave-in mix?

Help: I need a moisturizing DC that is protein-free, cones-free, etc. Any recommendations??? I'm using MT/OCT and have been using Gio SAS as a DC until I realized it has soy protein towards the bottom of the ingredients list. So now, what should I use?

giovanni direct is my holy grail... i use it as a dc w/evco and as a leave-in... i luv that stuff!
