it's 2011 anyone using a GIOVANNI PRODUCT as a staple?

I just recently started using Direct Leave In. It's pretty good but I don't know if I am gonna continue. Right now, I don't have any true "staples" (nope, not even S-Curl No Drip). I'm never really satisfied, very hard to please, so I keep changing up. I want some products to really knock me off my feet.

The leave-in is a staple for sure. I did try the Jane Carter Solution for a hot second but didn't like the smell nor the slight sticky it left behind.

I love their line. I use the leave in faithfully. I was using the smooth as silk faithfully too until I found that the trader joes line is comparable.
I have heard this a few times, but my hair responds very differently to TJ Nourish Spa and Giovanni SAS. Every time I try the TJ line, it is just so-so, but SAS is awesome as a DC, rinse-out and as a leave-in.

I've been using Giovanni SAS conditioner pretty much exclusively since late last year. I actually purchased it when I ran out of GDLI, which I was using for a few months as the base for the Kimmaytube leave-in. I like the new GDLI as opposed to the old one, which I bought and shelved after one use because of how hard it made my hair. It wasn't until I made her leave-in that I was able to use it!

I will be purchasing the SAS shampoo next -- my hair HATES all shampoos, with or without sulfates, so I am interested in seeing if it works for me. I used an Aubrey Organics shampoo....I think it was GPB...once at my SO's mother's house and was shocked that my hair didn't get tangled like with everything else. If the Giovanni SAS shampoo works I will buy the large sizes from massagewarehouse. If not, I'll just buy some Aubrey or stick with ACV rinses.

I have the smooth as silk shampoo liter that I purchased at TJMAX but I have not been using it lately since I discovered WEN. It cleans well but I just don't feel the need to shampoo often anymore.

spark:grin: do u like the new version of the leave in? i noticed the SAS has a bunch of extracts but the older version had oils

and the new version (i guess new) of the Direct leave-in has a bunch of oils so I wondered if they changed it or not

but anywho:look: you DO Like the leave in now? i notice nobody cares for it alone, but mixed

i went for the tea treat shampoo... i don't mind clarifying frequently if it's not too harsh

Ive been using the direct leave in for about 3 weeks and I love it. Ive been wearing flat twist outs due to the cold weather I just spritz on some aloe vera juice and then use a little of the Direct leave in my twistouts come out so pretty ,soft, and moist. Now I wanna try the other items in the line hope I feel the same way about them.

I use the Direct Leave In, Smooth as Silk Extreme DC, Nutrafix Protein DC, Vita Pro Fusion Spray Leave In, Smooth As Silk Shampoo, Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo. I love it all! I love it all! Ask me anything you want about them.

I do like the new leave-in, and I have used it alone a few times when I didn't feel like mixing up the Kimmaytube leave-in. I don't think the old version had aloe vera juice, but I noticed the new version has that as the first ingredient.

if u could choose only one item from their line, which would it be

Yeah....I ordered 4 bottles of SAS conditioner ( I don't spend money on leave-ins anymore) for only $15 with shipping.

Go to retailmenot.com and search for the store iherb.com and get a $5 off for first time customers plus they are doing an additional 6% off your order. Shipping is like $4.

Direct as an occasional leave-in. Love the "barely there" feel. My "staple" leave ins tend to contain cones.
Been using Smooth As Silk shampoo & conditioner, as staples in a way, really to help break up the monotony of my Creme of Nature. (Stumbled upon another old school bottle)

Sent from my T-Mobile G2

I wanted to like this brand but everything I've tried (poo and codish in the 50:50 and smooth as silk lines) was mediocre...love the pump on the big bottles though, I reuse those all the time.

I love direct leave in. However, recently I've noticed there are 2 kinds. PureOrganic and EcoChic. I love PureOrganic but EcoChic feels like crap in my hair. They have the same ingredients but they're listed in a different order. I've been buying up PureOrganic in my town. I want to order the litre but I'm afraid it's EcoChic and not PureOrganic.

I recently started using Gio's leave in and Magnetized Poo and Con. I'm in love with the leave in and the jury's still out on the poo and con. I have to use it more to really notice a difference. I'm currently transitioning to natural and my hair loves the leave in.

I use the Giovanni Smooth As Silk Deeper Moisture Conditioner for my braidouts and Giovanni Vitapro Fusion Protective Moisture Leave-In Hair Treatment on damp hair before I airdry. I really like the leave-in since it serves as a heat protectant before I flat iron my hair.

Giovanni Tea Tree shampoo is on my staples list; it's the only clarifying poo I use and it doesn't make my hair feel hard and brittle.

Yep, for whatever reason, Giovanni Direct Leave In made my hair extremely hard and left a chalky residue when I was transitioning. Now that I mix it with the oils/aloe vera for the Kimmaytube Leave in, its all good.

I've used it about 5 or 6 times now and the first time it went great, but all subsequent times wasn't as great. I didn't track what weeks post I was while using them. I will do this next time to see when my hair likes it and when it doesn't. I will mix them in my kimmatube's LI if I can't get it to work by itself.

I have heard this a few times, but my hair responds very differently to TJ Nourish Spa and Giovanni SAS. Every time I try the TJ line, it is just so-so, but SAS is awesome as a DC, rinse-out and as a leave-in.
I've never tried SAS, I must give that a try. So you use it as a DC, rinse out and leave-in? Wow, how multi-purpose.

I do like the new leave-in, and I have used it alone a few times when I didn't feel like mixing up the Kimmaytube leave-in. I don't think the old version had aloe vera juice, but I noticed the new version has that as the first ingredient.
My GDLI has water and aloe vera as the first two ingredients. Would this be the new or the old formula?

i didnt like the sas conditioner but i like the shampoo. i also really like the vitapro fusion. the price is what keeps me from using this as my main line.
