I did it. and yea, i'm quite aware it was just a spur of the moment kind of following the crowd thing.
it's sure not for everybody.anyhow, the grow out is....painless. it's completely covered by my hair easily.
i don't wear my hair pulled back very often, so that doesn't really matter to me.i may do it again, just for kicks. i attribute it to being young and silly.

OP by now i'm pretty sure u know the consensus is that it's shaved too low, but the good thing about this situation is that the spot is small enough to be covered up by the rest of your hair if you wear it down or by wearing some pretty scarves as headbands. Plus, in a couple of weeks when your NG comes in it'll look how u originally wanted.

I like it, I like that you did something different. Now you can do what ever you please with it, wear twist outs, braid outs wash n go's, heck even a side pony. Its your hair and you can do with it what you please.
Regardless if it was spur of the moment or following the crowd it doesn't matter, its there and it looks nice so I say rock it like the beautiful look it has.
Besides its just hair, and we are not our hair. It doesn't make you any less of who you were, and it doesn't make you look bad.

All I have to say is, I'm so glad Chocolatelove2010 is back.
I actually think the shaved look is cute - trendy, but cute, although I agree the OP shaved it too low. However, growing that out with thick kinky, curly hair is going to aggravating as all heck.

I doubt you were paid to cut a small part.

lol I didn't have a plan and I meant I was going to shave my WHOLE head not just the one part. I started then was like WTF and stopped lol Has nothing to do with the one half head hair thing that cassie has or whatever...To be honest I wanted to see if it would grow in differently..The left side is more loose than the right I should have done that side instead but I wouldn't have been able to see it right. So far I've been covering it with headbands and megatek'n it twice a day lol It's already growing back though which is a good thing.

Girl, why didn't you just use some breast milk on the side you didn't like. You didn't have to look like you were preparing yourself for surgery. Damn!
Anyway, it'll grow back. Please don't tell people IRL that's why you shaved it. Tell them you fell down the stairs or something.

Do like Willow and you can roc a 'hawk on that section. In a few days you will have hair filling in anyways. Go ahed and whip it. It's not so bad honestly Op, I've seen worse. Trying to find a pic of a style I've seen where just that section is shaved and the rest is styled. If i can find one, I'll post it. Good luck girl!

Err quite a few people on here stated how their second bc hair was nothing like the first time also a male friend of mine said the same thing as he got older but yeah thanks anyway. And I know nappy storm I've been an emotional wreck but what I can say is I'm excited to see it grow back lol

If I want to shave off half of my head; making a post on here will be the last place I'll tell. Some of ya making the op feel like it's the worst thing in the world she did. If she didn't regret it before she posted her pictures, she definitely regrets it now after reading these posts.
I do think you shaved way too deep and made more of a baldie, than just a slight taper look, but it will grow back.
And I really don't know what was your persuasion, but if you did it because you thought it would grow back thicker. I suggest don't ever doing that again.
