On break
Are there Black Friday hair items still on your undecided list, ones you stay waffling about, or ones you've finally decided to skip altogether? What and why? (We promise not to try to change your mind!)

Boo. What did you want?

Camille Rose Holiday Collection (deep conditioner and leave in). They were on the site up to earlier this week but disappeared the day the Black Friday sale started. Smh... I asked if they would be listed and they told me “it’s not available.” Really though...so I gave up on them. :cry3::cry3:

The Mane Choice Heavenly Halo line. They said it’s only available at Target. It’s full price there...:cry3::cry3:

I really wanted to get the following:
  • Curls: hair vitamins (the starting price is ridiculous to me, so it doesn't really feel like a discount, especially with shipping)
  • Mane Choice: body wash and lotion
  • Soultanicals: Wash and Comb Detangling Foam
  • Henna Sooq: a red henna (to cover the ever-so-slight orange tint I'm getting from their Jamila henna)
  • Smooth Naturals: the gel (a hipo YouTuber has been raving about it for years)
  • Lush/Miche: a well-reviewed DC containing honey (I went with Bask & Bloom instead because it contains the honey I was seeking, but brahmi as well)

Did you get the Henna Sooq private sale?. It was basically enough to cover the cost of shipping (if you are like me and buy far less than what qualifies for free shipping).

I skipped the Bobeam sale and ordered Bobeam from Hattache instead. 25% off + free shipping at Hattache is a better deal than 40% off + paying for shipping at Bobeam for the items and the quantity I want.

AcureOrganics.com is another sale that I skipped. The Acure 40% Black Friday discount is the everyday price for Acure products at TJ Maxx.

I’m teetering right now on the Butter-N-Bars sale simply because I told myself I wasn’t buying anything else and I’m trying not to lie again :drunk:

Ulta Joico sale. I was going to order the Intense Hydrator for $9.99 but the $5.95 shipping stopped me. I refuse to pay shipping that's half the cost of the product, even though that's Ulta's standard shipping price.

Bekura. Almost bit on this one, but not shipping until December 12 stopped me. I want my products now!

I wanted some vitamins, but the Beautifully Bamboo 25% off sale promo is too low and Mielle didn't include theirs in the 40% off discount. Like @trueheartofgold, I also wanted the CRN holiday set and TMC Halo, but they weren't available. Then, I lost interest in Kindred Butters after waiting three days for her to restock. I was feeling lukewarm about everything else, even my staples/favorites. I don't know. At some point, the $20+ price tag for a DC thing becomes unappealing.

There are vitamin bundles that the 40% off can be applied to. They just aren't selling them individually for the sale. I have the 4 month supply in my cart currently which amounts to $ 70.99 USD, but with the code applied it's $ 42.60 USD. Here is the page with the bundles, I felt like it was kind of hard to find: https://mielleorganics.com/collections/all

Bask & Bloom, how do you like it?

Thanks for the info; I really appreciate it. I think I'm going to go with Sallys and their 30% with free shipping instead (the $8 for shipping helped to change my mind).

I went and bought the Brahmi Hair Masque from Bask & Bloom. I was hesitant cause it wasn't on my original BF List, but it's Ayurvedic. It was a last minute purchase and one of of many I was swaying on. If I don't like it, I will gift it. I also swayed on Keraveda, but eventually bought their 1010 and growth oils as a substitute when my CP oil is steeping.

What I didn't buy was Her Imports 360 wig. The discount didn't even cover shipping.

APB. I really wanted the hair and body butter but I have 4 jars of CRN almond jai to get through and if I buy more APB I never will use them. She always has great sales so I'll stock up at a later date.

Beautifully Bamboo. 25%... Nah. Last year it was 30 or 35%. I wanted the tea, protein powder and conditioner booster but 25% off wasn't worth it. She rarely has sales, although she offers 10% all year long.

BF is the time to go all out, the time to outdo the competition, impress new/potential customers and reward loyal customers. Had her sale been the 30 or 35% off that it was last year, I would've purchased my whole cart, which was close to $300, but at 25% off, nope.

There are too many companies out here to play this low %/ high shipping game with folks. A vendor in my city, NurCreations, has insane shipping and she refused to even look at other options. $20+ to ship 6 products up the street?! No ma'am. APB can ship 6 for $7 from Texas but you can't do it from 2 zip codes over? Nope.

There are too many vendors out here to play these games. You can and will get cut off.

It's a first-time purchase. I've never used the brand before, but @PJaye and the Youtuber below had me sold on trialing the DC. Nothing works for every head, so I don't get mad if things don't work out. I reason I can always use it for a henna gloss.

I bought it instead of waiting because I'm kind of rushing myself to nail down my ayurvedic regimen. I kind of want to coast, regimen and hair -wise, for most of 2018.
