don't know if any of you are regular users of this... but anyone notice any differences in their stock? different bottles reacting differently?

Don't know where you ladies purchased from.... just wondering

-- has each detangled the same?
-- less moisture from some?
-- hmmmmmmmmmmmm

I use it but this is my first bottle so...has it not been treating your hair right with subsequent purchases?

I'm on my second bottle. It was never a good detangler for me to begin with. It just kept my hair more moisturized than other leave-ins I've tried. Not sure if there's been any differences in both batches but I'll pay more attention as I use more.

I'm a regular user and I haven't noticed any difference. I buy mine from Wholefoods and Target. I do notice a difference in the Curling Custard from time to time (some jars are more slimy than others), but the Knot Today has been very consistent.

maybe it's in my head... or maybe not:look:

I ordered most from curlmart... but many moons later I ordered from curlmart and it didn't quite seem the same (just not detangling that well anymore)

I ordered the recent stock from soap.com and it's much more white/opaque in appearance than a clear-ish (initial bottles) color and haven't gotten to see that old detangling power yet

i'll check it out in another manner soon:rolleyes: (+ clarify again:spinning:)

I've been using KKKT for over 6 months, each time buying exclusively from Whole Foods Market. I started out using it solely as a detangler, but now I use it as a co-wash and as a spot detangler. The detangling hasn't changed very much, it's always easy if I make sure my hair isn't slick but foamy (more water than product.) The moisture is something I don't experience, it's great as a co-wash because it doesn't coat my hair, works with most of my curl cremes/gels, and a bit goes a long way. I have found, however, that with consistent use, the KKKT uses its effectiveness in softening hair. HTH.

Same here. I think I'm on my 3rd bottle. But I mix mine with aloe vera juice and oils as a leave-in, so they last a long time and I may not be able to observe any direct changes in the KCKT. I doubt there have been any though.

I get mine's mainly from Target and sometimes Wholefoods.

Haha... I'm not a daily co-washer. Perhaps 3x a week? If it were summer I'd probably be trying some Tresemme naturals. Elucence is my all time favorite shampoo conditioner, but not being able to get it on the ground thows a wrench in its use. In reality, I'm still using KT that I"ve had since December, so I haven't broke the bank.

I didn't know that kckt was a detangler, I have been using as a moisturizer for my hair underneath my weave (diluted w/ water). I like the product but I don't think it could be used as a detangler w/o something else aidding it.

What a great suggestion! I am going to try that today! I have been sticking to natural products and that seems to be working better for my hair.

It is an effective detangler because of the slippery elm and the marshmallow root which provides slippage. I have been on a hunt for years for marshmallow root and I bought a batch from an online vendor last year and I plan to steep them and make my own homemade detangler/moisturizer

Knot Today does nothing for me as far as moisture...been trying for years...

I agree with comatose, never been a brilliant detangler 4 me. I buy mine from Target and then play scientist with it, lol. I usually add grapeseed, jojoba and other oils to make it a leave in.

I use it but only for my leave in...its too expensive for me to use as a rinse out conditioner...

i'm transitioning and I guess it's growing on me. I use it for what it's for: detangling. And it does soften my hair but to detangle it. Same on DD's hair. I'm looking for a cheaper alternative though.

I use it after every cowash, which is about 5 times a week if not more. I mix it with AVJ, jojoba oil and castor oil. :lick:
