I've been meaning to try this stuff out since these SSKs have been kicking my butt. I went to the kinky site and I tried ordering it and it said KNOT TODAY is unorderable. I'm thinking WHAT? So I type it in google to see where else I can buy it...curlmart.com OUT OF STOCK...naturallycurly.com OUT OF STOCK..

Amazon.com states...

What's the deal?​
 
Check the website, also the site should tell you which retail stores sell it. I know for certain that Whole foods carries it
 
It's still on the shelves at all the Whole Foods stores I've been to lately. The product is getting pretty popular, so they are probably having a hard time keeping up with demand. I was asking the guy at Whole Foods about Jane Carter and he said Kinky-Curly flies off the shelves.

Not true. I'm in Northern California and I've visited 4 different Whole Foods and they all carry it. They just started to do so back in March.

its just a great water based moisturizer...it isn't actually meant to detangle bcuz the directions are very persistent about you making sure that your hair is completely detangled before applying the knot today
 
I heart Knot Today!! :grin:

They better not discontinue it, its the only leave in I re-purchase consistently. And trust me, thats rare for a PJ :lachen:
 
I'm in Arizona and we get NO PRODUCTS!!! I mean NONE!! However, even our Whole Foods locations are carrying the Knot Today and the Curling Custard. There are like (4) locations around Phoenix that are carrying it. I too asked about this and the guy in the store said it was "flying off the shelves."
 
I was just in my Whole Foods and they had tons...they are probably just out of stock online..I think this is their best seller they would be crazy to discontinue it IMHO
 
People loved HE Longterm relationship leave-in too. The company even acknowledged that it was one of their best sellers, and look at what happened to it.....DISCONTINUED almost everywhere.:perplexed

So what about the question of the ssk? Does it do anything with those? I currently use QB- coco detangling ghee and it's heavenly butthe pj in me wants to try that knot today and the custard
 
Long term relationship Leave in is DC'ed??? I just bought two bottles of that too at Target...but I saw them at my Walmart as well because I was mad I spent more at Target

nope lol...its just a leave-in that you are to apply after you have thoroughly detangled, its not a detangler at all...I would stick to the QB if I were you. Most people love Knot Today bcuz its designed to help you get great results when you apply it under curling products and gels

There is not a product on the market that gets rid of SSK's. You have to cut them. I wrote a post a while back about them.

My daughter who is a natural was always getting them and I figured one day it was because of the way her hair twists and turns. I keep her hair braided and when I put her leave-ins at night I stretch and twirl a couple of braids at a time to ensure the ends are receiving the moisture as well. This has eliminated the problem at least 99.9%. She still gets a couple here and there but not as frequently as she was before.



If you dont have braids just stretch you hair as you are applying you leavins to help the moisture make it to all the strands. SSK's are IMO hair that is dry and is twisting on itself.


Back to the Knot today, IT IMO IS THE BEST DETANGLER in the WORLD. If they ever stop carrying it I would honestly cry. I use it after I wash my DD's hair, a little more than a 50 cent piece in each quadrant. I make sure her hair is more wet than damp.

It has great slip since I dont use cones.

These are the ingredients:
Organic mango fruit extract, organic slippery elm, organic marshmallow root (this is one ingredient that is a detangler), organic lemongrass, cetyl alcohol( this is not the alcohol that dries the hair it is a emulsifying agent), behentrimonium methoslfate (another awesome detangling
ingredient), citric acid phenoxyethanol and fragrance

The Knot Today is the best detangler I have used on my natural hair, it provides really great slip. I hope this product is never discontinued. Checking in for seeing the knot today in Whole Foods in Atlanta.
 
i think the knot today is a detangler. of course it wont work for everyone but it is great for me because it has so much slip. i dont use the kccc.

yeah!!! when did this happen? there's butt loads at wal mart and target!!! plus i was just on their site and they're still advertising it like its being sold

I just ordered this today to be shipped to my local Whole Foods from Whole Foods in the city. So if you cannot get it locally, they can order it for you. :yep:
What I'd like to know is that if this product is just for hair that's already naturally curly in texture like this demo because I have kinky hair (some wavy curls, etc, but more kinks). :look:

I've never been able to find it at our Whole Foods. :sad:
And our CVS' don't sell any of the good stuff either.
I'll check again.
 
The whole Foods near my house (40 miles away that is) just keep saying it sells out. I always buy 2 or three bottles. I love that stuff. You can call and get added to a list and when the shipment gets in, they will call you.
