:rolleyes:Ok, so my shears have been revoked! :brucelee:

My SO calls my dusting sessions "surgery." :catfight:

I currently have color that I am attempting to rid my locks of and his hating is really perturbing!
It gets to the point where I have to sneak to trim my splits. Sometimes I just feel like he doesn't fully understand what I am trying to do. LOL. And when I explain my case, he just twists that mouth up at me like yeah right. :whyme:

:mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob:

I will sit on the sofa with my handy shears, hand mirrors, and towel and go to work for hours. I never realize that this time has flown by until he is wrestling me down to snatch my shears from my hands. Maybe I can become obsessed with my hair.
:whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip::whip:

This just reminded me that I can't possibly be alone in my addiction. I wanted to see what other vices that you ladies might have since you have gone on your Healthy Hair Journey. :covereyes

What is your Kryptonite?

I can concur on that one!! I definitely have a problem and baby is definitely trying to skim me down in that dept too.

I have a clothing addiction too. I don't know I just can't stop. I plan out what I'm going to condition with and when and what I'm going to buy in the future. With clothes I have like 5 websites with a LONG wishlist of items I want to buy... SIGH. I don't even think I want to give up my addictions anyway. :look:

I'm a dusting/trim addict too, only I "dusted" off all of my growth last year :nono:. I'm seriously not touching the scissors again until maybe the end of this summer.

This is literally how I feel when I walk up and down the conditioner aisle! Conditioner is my second addiction, lol. I just bought a bottle of Organix Acai Berry last night after class, just because :look:

LMAO I can't find my scissors and its driving me mad. I'll sit there for hours and dust my ends section by section like a mad woman

What's my kriptonite? I leave my hair curly and it shrinks so badly I can't dust like I'd want to.

I had to put down the scissors because I was becoming addicted to trimming and was basically doings trims for no good reason. Kept thinking my ends were dry when they weren't. :wallbash: I decided to not trim anymore for a year, if not until this summer, to give my hair time to actually grow.
I love condition too but I refuse to give that up because my hair loves it even more. :lick: I practically collect them. :look:

Get you a splitender. I had one back in the early 2000's when they first came out and loved it (handle broke on it). Thats what I plan on doing, getting another one.

My Search and Destroy sessions last 2 to 3 days sometimes (and thats when I do it on straight hair). I go slow and the longer my hair gets the more time I have to spend doing it. It's becoming to much, but it has helped me retain length. So a Splitender I will get.

I know!! I need that hypnosis!! LOL. I have to start using the them more, to prevent those little splits! It's terrible!!

OMG!! I feel the same way! He has hidden them somewhere and is blocking on me. LOL. Such a hater. That is ok, because I have another pair stashed around the house that he forgot about.

Thining of that, I forgot myself, but mark my words! i will find them! LOL

I need to make this sort of commitment. I mean really, it seems like I am really hindering my hair due to my over dusting. I mean, you have to get rid of the damaged ends but I think that choctaw hit that on the head. Condition condition! That is my new mission.

Don't worry I feel the same way. Often I catch myself going into the bathroom when I'm board, breaking about my shears and doing a S&D. I put my hair in braids to keep myself from doing it...wrong I look at my hair while it's in braids and do S&D on those ends too if I can.

I was thinking about getting one of these, but I was a little skeptical. I saw info about it in the threads. Good recommendation.

I use to be a dusting/trimming addict too until I realized that

A) my hair was never that damaged to begin with
B) I was trimming away all my progress

I could have been booty length by now if it wasn't for all my obsessive trimming, big chops, dustings etc.....

I am really going to keep this in mind so that I can progress and move forward. It really scares me that if I don't stop, I will be stuck @ shoulder length. I am trying to press forward!

You're going to get the Illuminati kids after you if you're not careful :lachen:

Gurl, I know what you saying!

:sekret: I am auditioning condiioners to replace Skala and VO5. I was just minding my business in the conditioner aisle and this bottle of Giovanni SAS ... it just burst into song

YouTube - i've got so much to give - BARRY WHITE

I have almost gotten caught at work snipping split ends. I really needed those titanum blade scissors to do my job better. :look:

i am just a product junkie period! i love conditioner and moisturizers! i buy something for my hair twice a week. last year, it was makeup. i need to buy some more makeup to replace things in my kit. oh and now i am into smelling like baked goods, so i am shopping online for that as i type this! :lachen:

:peek2: :roadrunner:
Because I'm in scissor recovery and it's not good for me to be around other addicts... I'm w-e-a-k!

I am a every hair product junkie. I slowed down for a while and then BANG....it was back again. I can go the entire year without buying anything, cause I have sooooooooooo many products. I have an entire room for all of my hair products :lachen:.

Lately I've been really good.... :look: But my ultimate weaknesses are :look: *deep breath* conditioners and *cough* hair candy *cough*. :nono: I have all kinds of ouchless bands, hair clips, puff elastics....

My sister actually gave me the dreaded stank face
Jay-Z+Stank+Face.jpg
because I refused to buy these bands with the metal part on it.

Just because they were cheap didn't mean that they were good!!! :nono: (Yeah her stank face is crucial)

I have all different colors of alligator clips ( THESE), butterfly barrettes :lick: & hair pins, flowers, swarovski crystals, and it keeps going. :cloud9:
