Ladies with Pibbs dryers, where did you buy yours? I see them on Amazon but is there a better/cheaper source?

Thanks! :drunk:

The laides of LHCF made arrangements with a distributor out of New York. I'm bumping this so that someone that remembers can supply the name.

I got mine from Amazon. Free delivery and I got it in about 4 days.

ETA I LOVE IT!!!!

I purchased my Pibbs dryer from Amazon too. I know there was a thread posted not long ago about Sams Club having them.

Sally's, shipping was free to the store. I bought mine 2006.

I think I got it at Salon R Us.......or was that the steamer?? I have to check, I'll let you know tomorrow.

Thanks! I looked into Imperial Sales and it doesn't look like they have a website. But maybe I'll call them tomorrow, b/c they still have other contact info listed online. And will check Sally's and some of the other beauty supply stores. I'll let you know if I find a good deal!

I'm also looking for a dryer! I would like to get the Pibbs but dont want to spend more than $150. Is this possible?

I don't think so, not unless you purchase used (try Craigs List or Ebay).

But, if I was to do it all over again I would not purchase the Pibbs but the Pebco which is around $150-$170. I love my Pibbs but the Pebco is sooo much cheaper and from the reviews I've read, the same dryer.

I just looked @ the Pebco and was going to look for reviews on it! I think I will get the Pebco since it is around the price I want to pay!

The Pebco and the Pibbs are not the same dryer....I don't think.

I was on ebay this AM and I'm sure I saw one for about $100, if I'm not mistaken.

How do they differ?

They are made by two totally different manufacturers. The Pibbs is manufactured by Pibbs Industries, an Italian company known for high-quality salon products. Salon Equipment, Pibbs Industries About Us

The Pebco is manufactured by a different company and is a lower quality dryer, hence the lower price. Pebco/Dubl Duck On Amazon, the reviews are mixed. Some say "great dryer," while others complain that the product broke down after only a few months of use. A few years back, the hand-held dryer made by Pebco was recalled because a defect caused it to catch on fire.

I'm not knocking lower-priced dryers. My Gold 'n Hot rolling dryer works great, but it's not a knock-off of the Pibbs.

I got mine from imperialsales.net which doesn't look like they have a website anymore.
I got it 3/2008 and paid $245.95 through a deal that a few LHCF ladies arranged.

I did, too.
