Hey ladies,

On Monday I put some crochet braids in and even though it took some getting used to I think I did o.k. Got lots of compliments anyway and it gave me a different look. In fact, I did so well my mom had me put some in for her today. :spinning:

Anyway, I really wanted to get Freetress but the BSS I was in didn't carry it so I got Model Model Glance (Italian Curly for me and Circle Curl for mom). My question is, does anyone else have the problem with the knots coming aloose and if so what do you do about it?

Also, when I cornrowed my hair, they hung to APL. How do you hide those? I have no idea how to use weaving thread to sew them down. :ohwell:

I'd like to at this style to my repertoire but I want to get the technique down.

Thanks in advance.

When my mother used to do crochet braids she would take the ends of the cornrows and fold them up and add the hair so that it would hold the ends up... not sure how to explain what I'm trying to say :perplexed... hope it makes sense to you.

I recently did crochet braids and my knots are coming loose as well. I tried taking one piece from each side and it still didn't hold the knot. So I'm bumping for more answers.

This is the method I use to tie my knots:

Keep in mind the less textured the hair, the easier it will be for the knots to come loose.

Hope that helps.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. I don't think it's the technique so much as this nickel-slick hair...
