Happy new year everyone! Let's use this thread to list what's working for us this year and what isn't. I know there hasn't been this thread in awhile, so I hope we can start this up again. I always relied on this thread when wanting to try new things.

proclaim cholesterol- good as a quick fix moisturizer for wrapping. bad as a cholesterol treatment. gives me headaches and tangles.

Thanks for starting this thread outspokenwallflower. I was gonna start it, too. I missed reading every month about new products, reviews and regimens.

Products - HITS
Oyinhandmade Hair Dew - Very moisturizing
Oyinhandmade Shine and Define - Gives me a defined twistout.
Miss Jessie's Stretch Silkening Creme - Gives me a defined twist-out and provides elongation that stays throughout the day.

Regimen - HITS
Coffee oil pre-poos (with steam)
black, nettle, horsetail teas with ACV final rinses
Steaming, steaming, steaming!
Henna and Katam for strength and dark brown dye. (I want to try cassia sometime in the future; I henna 3 - 4 times a month)

No misses, so far.

Okay, just finished watching the video! Your precision and skills are off the chain!!! How long do you keep a style like this in? And how long did it take you?

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread!

Carry on.....LOL

hits ----

HOT SIX OIL. very very heavy oil. you only need a drop. in small amounts it seals my cuticle and gives my hair a light shine that makes it so lusterous it looks like fake hair. it's insane! i slept on this product for years!!!!! good on dry hair.

miss -----

hydratherma naturals amino protein condish. my relaxed hair loved it...my texlax hates it.

shea raw moisture deep restorative mask. feels great going on but smells like a florist threw up in my head....triggers major headache AND left my son's hair feeling very dry after he airdried. (he's natural 3c) i didn't even TRY to put the "flower garden" in my hair. glad i didn't.

black tea rinse ---- made my scalp itch. didn't decrease shedding at all.

Ultra sheen duo tex. Nice cheap protein condish. Just weird that its a watery one.

Tangle Teezer. I love this brush!

Silk Elements ultra moisturizing conditioner. This condish reminds me of Motions condish but without the heavy, heavy silicone coated feel. It was much lighter. It also explains why this didn't work on my daughters 4 b hair so it was a miss for her.

OMG Huge Hit was Organix Shea Butter Shampoo and Organix Passion Fruit Conditioner. They were on sale for $3.99 each so I decided to take a chance and boy am I glad I did :lick: My 12 weeks post hair felt great. Maybe this will be a cheap replacement for my KeraCare...
