i've stopped purchasing from kbb. The main reason why is because it's not practical/affordable. I thought it was always beyond ridiculous that a hair milk would cost $16. Most hair milks run $8-$12. Then in addition they pulled that, let's give you less product, same price, but try to pull the wool over folks' eyes by stating the amount in ml. that actually made me angry. but i honestly cannot afford 6oz of product for $16. I have mbl hair and my daughter has bsl length. yeah, can't do it.

i've read the darcy's and kbb threads. so i wanted to know if the daily leave in by darcy's is comparable. I also know that shescentit has a leave in. is that one just as good?

I never tried Darcy but the Ssi coco creme leave in and the Oyin hair dew is amazing.

I love her hair milk as well but have decided to stop purchasing from her because of false advertising and poor customer service.

I'm subscribing because I looking for a substitution as KBB hair milk was one of my staples.

$24 for 13oz is a GD shame. She's crazy.

DB is great.

I love the Coconut Lemongrass Transitioning Hair Cream. It's Fabulous. I actually preferred it to the Daily L-I.

I also have the Shea Butter Hair Lotion (but haven't tried yet:ohwell:).

So, You do have plenty of Options.:yep: You could also try Oyin's Dew Drops which is the latest Rave.:lick:

Recently purchased but haven't tried.

I also really like MyHoneyChild's Hair Lotions. I have the Burdock Root, Afrikoko and another one.

Subscribing! Coconut lemongrass sounds yummy. What are these brands? Can y'all spell them out? Sorry! I'm not even new, just confused. :)

yeah the whole drama with the customer service that other people were receiving from them was ridiculous. i also ordered a luscious locks mask from them and received an email a week later saying they were out of stock of an ingredient they needed and they wouldn't have it for 3 weeks. huh? i honestly didnt get that mad because i had more than enough deep conditioners at the time and how much i liked the mask when i did get it, 4 weeks later. ialso hated that whenever i got samples, they would be in like gram jars. wtf am i supposed to do with that?

anywho, dont want this to turn into a kbb complaint thread (yeah i know i started it) because there are several of those already, but i need a gosh darn replacement that really works just as good. im broke now, and seriously can't waste money. and my hair is dry.

now T, we dont have super budgets like you. i would so love to raid your stash. i literally have enough money to try maybe 2 new products so i'm trying to get down to the nittay grittay.

im finna peruse darcy's site again

ok let me clarify, the products from kbb that i liked the most were the nectar and the super silky. so i'm trying to duplicate those.

i purchased a sample of ssi's coco leave in during black friday sale. but i haven't gotten it yet. i dont want anything that's too thick, my hair does not like thick buttery type things.

i didn't even know my honey child had lotions. since i used to just rack up on kbb during the buy 2 get 1 sales, i never even looked at other sites. i always just bought conditioners.

i thought bee mine's luscious locks was going to be a replacement but hers is even more expensive. $18 for 8 oz. and although i liked it, it still didn't give me quite the same effect as the nectar or super silky

The Daily Leave-in from Darcy's is good. I liked it a lot better than the KBB, plus I liked the Darcy's scents better. Then I tried the Shea Butter Curl Moisturizing Cream. That stuff is wonderful. I love it.

I think the Daily L-I, and also the Peach Kernel Hair Milk would be a good replacement.

I think it is.

I have tried both -- I think the KBB is better with scents but as far as moisture and everything else I think the Darcy's is very good, I used the Daily-Leave in.

HOWEVER, I got a sample of the SSI leave-in awhile back and let me tell you...my hair sees that stuff coming and it starts to detangle. I can't believe how well it detangles my hair! I just got my BF stuff today and what was in it, yes a full size bottle of the SSI leave in. Loves it! :drunk:

I would say no to Darcy's. The leave in's did nothing for me. Oyin's hair dew is a yes hands down.

I have never tried any of KBB products ( too expensive for me) but I love DB's transitioning cream. It give's great slip and moisture to your hair. It even makes my curls pop. If your hair loves coconut oil or aloe then I would say give this a try.
