im not trying to sound rude, but i would make the title "has anyone ever used oil to take down their braids?" because "has anyone ever used" is not gonna attract alot of views because its not specific (and i dont think the little preview bubble shows up anymore), and the ones that do look at it probably wont reply.

but i've never used oil to take them down because i think it would be tooo slippery and i wouldnt be able to unravel them with out my fingers slipping, but i have used oil after i took out the braids to detangle and get rid of shed hairs. if you have some micros that are loose at the root then oil might help them just slip out, but i wouldnt recommend taking your braids out that way.

plenty of people use oil to take down braids and twists for detangling and for twist/braid outs. oil is great at addling slip for detangling and if you are going to wear a braid out it cuts down on the frizz as you take it down.

oh yeah, OP if you didnt mean extension braids, but like braids for a braidout i think you should defenitely use oil (like coconut or evoo) for frizz reduction and extra sheen

I have. I've added EVOO to conditioner to make it even more slippery. It helps with detangling
