Are you natural? I checked out the video at the link. I wonder what's in it since you need gloves on to apply it to the hair. I wonder how easy it would be to get your natural pattern to bounce back after 7 shampoos. I know I wouldn't chance it on my natural hair.

Neither would I!

This is a formaldehyde free product and seems to liken a blow dry treatment.

Ingredient List:
Smooth-It Serum: Aqua/Water, Cysteine, Ethanolamine, PEG-14 Dimethicone, Hexadimethrine Chloride, Aminomethyl Propanol, Polysorbate 20, Oleth-20, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Hydroxypropyl Guar, Cetrimonium Chloride, Dimethicone PEG-7 Phosphate, Parfum/Fragrance, Pentasodium Pentetate.

Heat-Activated Perfect-It Cream: Aqua/Water, Amodimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Trideceth-5, Polyquaternium-37, Phenoxyethanol, Propylene Glycol, Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Steareth-20, Parfum/Fragrance, Phenyl Trimethicone, Cetyl Hydroxyethylcellulose, Trideceth-10, PPG-1 Trideceth-6, Oryza Sativa Bran Oil/Rice Bran Oil, Limonene, Chlorhexidine, Digluconate, Linalool, Sodium Nitrate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hexyl Cinnamal, Citronellol, Silica, Benzyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Citral, Sodium Acetate, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid.

I have read unfavorable reviews (dryness, damage etc...) from a few blogs for what appears to be non-afro texture hair. The ladies who described themselves as African-American seemed to have favorable reviews and . The reviews also gave descriptions of strong Nair-like smell "Sodium Hydroxide" smells I assume.

Also the active ingredient in this product is Cysteine I am not sure if this the same as L-Cysteine which is supposed to be good for the hair. Cysteine I do know is an amino acid.

Chemists please chime in.

There was some sort of product trial signup about a month or two for this product. I tried to sign up and once I clicked "kinky curly hair" I was disqualified. That's all I know.

in case you guys don't know, there was a thread about this and if you're relaxed, you can't use this at all, i think they said there's a disclaimer about this on the box :yep:

Here's a natural reviewing the product
