mmmmmmm..... I'm being nosy, BUT anyone know which YOUTUBER she's referring to???

The Ferrero Rocher comment - STOP! Those are my fave chocolates and now I'm going to be sad whenever I eat one.

I agree with her that calling people haters is overplayed, but what she did right there was the epitome of hating. That chick has nothing to do with her...I'm sure we can all agree that there are some YouTubers that we are not fond of, but I personally just don't sub their channel, and when there are threads about them, I just don't reply in them! Why be negative when someone else is getting something out of it? Why rain on people's parades? That chile needs a hug. Moving on!

I knew it was this video. LOL

There's a lot, A LOT of drama going on with the YouTube makeup guru community pretty much ever since the You Tube Partnerships started.

Viewers started complaining that gurus were influencing them to purchase things that weren't good products simply because they were given it for free and weren't disclosing the fact they were sponsored. Or weren't clear that they were receiving items for free before reviewing them on YouTube and blogs, hence the FTC guideline recommendations.

Ok, so here it is a few months later and the bigger the blogger, the more the controversy. From B-slap and their drama with non-cosmetics as cosmetics, to LimeCrime and overcharging for eyeshadows that most could get bulk, to Michelle Phan making videos exclusively for Lancome and iqqui and other brands for pay only to gurus not responding to comments and emails to Ateyaa to AndreasChoice to fake MUA holding makeup seminars and asking people to send money... Etc etc etc.

I don't know what's true and untrue, that's just some of the stuff.

There's also drama within the YouTube comedy community.

Let's just say that a ridiculous amount of people have a problem with people earning money, gifts, housing off of YouTube. Period.

Boo is hating. I mean, no harm in alittle constuctive criticism but why she all up in the girl's sauce like that? Why doesn't she rant about all the other bad makeup YT'ers? 'Cause this one got like 10X more subbies, a contract with Lancome and is being touted as the next Kevin Aucoin, that's why. I betcha if she had that many subbies she wouldn't have time for a 20 min rant.

Another thing. Call me old school, but cussin' like that should be censored.

I think it's quite kind of her to state that people overuse the word hater when they dont know what it is then proceed to be the epitome of a hater. Good job.

And while that story of Michele in NY does sound sketchy from what she presented I have to point out that just because you've never been robbed in NY it doesnt take away from the many that have been unfortunately. What kind of lapse in logic was that?

Wow. She's not mad tho....she just needed to spend 19 mins letting you know this while dropping F bombs. Hmmm, I don't know anyone who drops that many bombs when they are not hating on someone.

wow! thats craaazy!! you know, there are haters everywhere, even in the world of make up I guess!! she should be ashamed of herself!

I've never seen either of these people before... for all I know, maybe the woman doesn't like the guru for good reason.

Still... imo, it's not like she killed someone. A 19 minute video with all that cussing just because you don't like someone's attitude? Let it go girl.

A lot of that is happening with oneline fashion blogs, sadly brands and companies know we're looking at these resources and they pluck up the most profitable blogger and sponser them. However from the angle of a viewer or fan one day you've got a girl discussing how to find great vintage clothes and form your own personal style and the next they're casually dropping hints about sales at ONE company, or wearing an outfit a company sent them and doing nothing but taking pictures and dropping the company name.

Instead of you originally being out there to help you're instead a walking commercial. It's annoying and I had to ditch a few fashion blogs because of it (not at all surprised youtube would be as bad, their fashion scene is gross too) still the video with the f-bombs was a bit much.

Neith I just got into MichellePhan Videos a few days ago I like her videos alot and have subscribed. I have never been into make-up but want to become more skilled and I feel her videos are Dummy Format so guess what No pun intended for myself. Just great videos for the unskilled make up artist :D Like myself. :D

I do think old girl is a TOO DEEP into michelle and I do think it will help Michelle get subscribers lol "like me last night" roflmaoooooo. I'm sorry but the girl came on with NO MAKEUP and I'm no fan of makeup and trip over my skin too but hair, makeup, and clothes not on point to diss someone else... *shrugs* The video should be reported because she is being a straight up BULLY... Now from what I've read *frowns at op for even asking cause then I wanted to know why guru's are beefing lol" Michelle lied about different things excluding NY and it's all over "makeup forums" *I learned a new term* :) but I feel if someone has already paid a fine, lost some fans, learned from their mistakes and what not LEAVE THEM BE. I don't even have vids on my youtube channel but if I did I'd never go on camera the way this girl did... TOTALLY UNKEPT and actually TRYING to seem angry LMAO from her own statements and comments it seems like she was "forced" into making a "real" video talking about Michelle.... Why I don't know... I couldn't have typed this when I saw the vid cause I felt like I'd have no basis. It's like someone who's obsessed with makeup coming in here dogging how we deal with something that's total hair... Hope that made sense. One more thing I don't think it's good to talk about something people can't change, in school I could crak on someone all day long if they started with me but I did my best not to down someone for something beyond their control, Michelle can't change the size of her face "without surgery" and the girl can't change her "marks / blemish issue" so I think it very low for either of them to talk about each others face. Now on the other hand Michelle's makeup is on point from vids I saw and this girl's isn't so Michelle coming back "which I doubt she will" giving her tips on make up *not actual skin care* would be quite due lol. Alright back to my books, hair, and watching Michelle lol she's good at what she does it seems even if some of products are tested on animals and messing with people's skin not her fault

Honestly, she doesn't even sound right saying the F word..it doesn't fit her...at all. I think she is hating..and it's pretty obsessive. She needs help

Alot of people don't like Michelle for whatever reason. I have found some of her tips useful. Does anyone know who her boyfriend is? Supposedly he is a some influential person that could have got her the connections she has.

I am with Neith, I don't know these people, but for what it's worth, I think Michelle Phan is pretty (I kept thinking "what a dollface" as I watched her) and I don't think she has a fat face at all in the sense of being ugly swollen big. She has the sort of beautiful fullness that won't get gaunt any time soon. Me-likey very much! :yep:

As for the vid in the OP...no comment really. I didn't watch the whole video and don't know what her beef is and don't really care coz I am not that into makeup so I doubt I'll be taking notes.

Exactly. How you gonna trash someone and you yourself looking trashy? Her skin discoloration may be beyond her control, but her messy brows, hair and clothing are not.

The irony is she's probably gotten this chick sooo many hits and subbies off of this video. I turned her video off at 55 secs and went over to Michelle's page and watched her videos. And I mean she could have valid points (I'll never know) but her approach and presentation is not attractive (and I'm not talking about her face).

Nah, she can take care of that, and it doesn't take surgery to clear her face. Trust me, I know firsthand. Now if she's not worried about that because she can cover it with makeup, that is a problem, especially when she doesn't do so before making a video for people to see. I was actually gonna comment earlier today on the video, but I had nothing to say except for how bad her skin is, since her skin and f-bombs made it so I couldn't even get through the video.

help a sister out with the bolded... Mine isn't bad as hers but how do you get rid of blemishes like that besides black soap, shea buter, and vitamin e oil cause I really need to know.

Silenttulip Check out the skincare forum. There's a sticky that is an acne elimination manual by Divine Inspiration which offers a lot of tips including diet IIRC. And then there are a lot of other testimonials like this one. Not every method will work for everyone but I think cleaning your diet first (eliminating dairy, fried foods, sugar...) is a start...and then KISS seems to be the thing that most people have found to work for them.

So i saw Michelle Phan's video about the airplane beauty routine....i actually like it. Michelle seems harmless...so this chick thats ranting about her.....LOSER:ohwell:

On to the weather.....

Well I checked out the comments under the vid and she seems to have a lot of agreement going on. So either she's deleting all the unfavorable comments or Michelle Phan has angered a lot of people.

I'm not a huge make-up wearer but I just watched and liked Michelle's YT channel, lol. Her format really is like make-up for dummies. I watched a video for like 5 seconds and learned the proper way to put on my tinted moisturizer. All I can say about the other girl's vid. is keep on hatin boo. She might've reversed what she was trying to do with that one.

what is going on, lawd??
youtube makeup channels are getting gangsta?? trap or die?? conceal or die??
