Thank you! I hand sewed the cape, belt, tiara, neck and wrist cuffs. I drove myself crazy trying to hand sew the top and pants, but in the end I gave in and bought a black bustier and some liquid leggings. My sewing machine broke

My hair is in long extension braids right now, so I think I will just pin them to make a swoop bang and maybe I will put some rods on them and dip them but I'm not sure yet. They are kind of wavy now so I may just leave them alone.

Going to an alternate history themed party as a seafaring African explorer, so I'll be wearing a hat for that one. Other party is vaguely steampunk, so I'm doing a Wild Wild West type outfit. For that one I might do bantu knots, big ones up on the top of my head.

Hey everybody! Let's see some updates!! And pictures! How did your Halloween costumes turn out?? Did you have a good time?

I had fun, hung out with Optimus_Prime, fattyfatfat, Maiden MistyCurls & a friend we are all trying to suck into LHCF

I had previously worn my Storm costume to NYCC/NYAF and a birthday party that was also a costume party, so I decided to switch it up and go as Superwoman

We had fun, my boots were surprisingly comfortable all night, I put the hurt on the Joker (you're welcome Batman ) and ran into MJ on the 6 train. He was giving a free performance

I REALLY wanted to be a 1920's mobster chick.....but I was too stubborn to purchase the full out costume so I just shopped around for a pinstriped vest to match with my black skirt and white tank and black/white heels, but I ended up being completely unable to find ANY pinstriped vests for women except for one, which only had a size medium left. The medium fit completely awkwardly and just looked stupid so I couldn't bring myself to spend the 14 bucks on it. If only there'd been a small.....I even bought a cute pinstriped fedora hat and some white gloves. However, since I didn't find the vest by Friday evening I did a complete 180 change and ended up going as a lady cop. I found a cute blue police officer top in the sale section of Party City while browsing with my friends (it was total luck....it was a CUTE female top). I was skeptical because it was "one size fits all", but after trying it on it was actually very clingy and I knew if I tucked it into a black skirt it'd work. So that's what I ended up doing. They actually let me exchange my mobster hat and gloves for the police officer top, hand cuff belt, etc. which was surprising since the receipt claims no returns/exchanges after October 22nd. Anyway, so I was a lady cop.....I wore my hair up even though I originally wanted to wear it down, but I ran out of time. But yeah, I actually ended up liking my outfit.

Next year maybe I'll get to be a mobster chick. I have a whole year to find that women's pinstriped vest. Ironically enough, I feel like I see them ALL OF THE TIME when I'm shopping....I've just never bought one. But when I was out specifically looking for one, they were nowhere to be found! lol.
