Yesterday i tried Alter Ego Garlic Condish, (it aint that cheap) but im a product junkie so i figured what the heck. One of the reasons i got it is because of the garlic, i had been having some shedding issues so i wanted to try something with Garlic in it. So i went to a dominican salon with my conditioner in tow and told them i wanted to get under the steamer with the condish for 15 minutes. Well i have to say OMG! Now i have not relaxed for over 4 months and i figured the beautician would have a time blowing my hair out, but not at all. My hair detangled in a snap, she blew it out in no time, my hair looked like i just had a touch up. I have to say this conditioner is the absolute TRUTH! I would have never believed that i would see a significant change from the first usage but yes i did. I think since i had my hair done yesterday i have seen maybe 5 strands of hair come off my head after combing when normally i would see countless strands all different lengths.

This will be the new staple for me.

My avatar picture was taken yesterday after coming home from salon.

Yes, indeedy! It is a fab condish! Actually, I like Alter Ego products, period. They are high quality and I get excellent results. I recently purchased the Linseed Shampoo and the Coconut Conditioning Mask.
These products are not cheap, but I know what products to purchase if I need to narrow the budget.
When it comes to paying $$$ for a product that is giving me a great result, I don't mind paying. It's like eating really good decadent chocolate!

How did you like the shampoo? Like you said if the product works then i will pay. I mean in the scheme of things i have paid more for stuff and been so dissappointed. So $25 bucks for a 500ml jar its not that bad and i will keep using. I like the sound of the Coconut Mask....hummm i may have to try that.

It is an awesome product! It melts new growth and leaves hair with some serious swang. I may revisit it once I've exhausted my Skala stash.

IA w/Every Post.

And Honestly believe it should be in Every Relaxed Heads Stash for obvious reasons (if financially feasible to do so).:perplexed

IMO: It's a definite must.:yep:

Definately has a nice smell no garlic smell at all. I was happy it didnt, especially after reading the benefits of garlic for the hair.

I love it...I have it in my hair now under the steamer...I like to leave it in my hair overnight (majority of the time out of laziness...lol)

Alter Ego Garlic Conditioner worked wonders for me in the early days of my post partum shedding...this is awesome stuff & I wouldn't hesitate to repurchase if needed!

I love it and I love it and I love it.

I used this today under my steamer. I agree with all who love it like me, My hair is soft, has swang and soft as could be. ;)

AE Garlic stays in rotation, esp. after 5 wks post.

I don't use any other Alter Ego product anymore. I have the ceramides integrated system mask, moisture sham/leave-in and their shea butter dc. I don't care for them too tight.

Now im a confessed product junkie, i have used conditioners that run for 5 bucks to 50, alterna, biolage, joico (still will use), nexxus, WEN, Its a 10, Euphora, the list goes on and on and most were not bad but i must say none of them show me results after 1 use. As of today 2 more days i think i have shed about 3 more hairs, I have an off white tile floor that i would see hairs all kinds of lengths after every brushing. Im in love and will continue to use. Im excited to get back to the dominican salon again for another treatment. Im approaching my goal and with this conditioner i should reach BSL.

It's definitely worth the bucks. It's really a great product. I can't say nothing but 'nice' things about AE Garlic.

I will be using this after relaxing under Steamer.:lick:

I try to use this or at the very least Nutrine Garlic (to co-wash with) weeks 1-4 Post Relaxer.:yep:

I'll add this to my future list of conditioners; but now, I have to use up my stash. The economy is really hitting me hard, so I need to stop buying new products for a while.

I just broke open a new jar on the weekend. Still LOVE it!!! My two months of NG feels awesome.

I liked this more when my hair was relaxed. I like the garlic one more than the coconut DC.

I just bought a new steamer (IDT shhhhh) and I might revisit. Maybe it'll be better under my beloved steamer.

I just received this on Saturday and haven't used. Trying to get my moisture back up so on a Nexxus only regimen for the month.

Will do a henna treatment on the 1st, how does this conditioner work after a Henna treatment?

I like Alter Ego Garlic as a rinse out conditoner, leave-in and Dc. I like the Coconut for these purposes as well; but I think the Garlic provides more slip. The Linseed shampoo is great. I only needed to wash my hair once.

AE isn't a moisturizing DC perse. Some will get a bit of slip, but slip does not equal moisture. I would not use this as an after henna moisturizing DC - there are other products that can achieve that better for less. Save this one for something else.

Thanks Op for this thread. I bought a jar 3 weeks ago and haven't used it yet. I didn't see any reviews on it when I bought it under Amazon.

Okay ladies I already have sooooo much in my stash, a lot that I havent opened.... Do I really need this too?? I have put off buying this in the past....
