:drunk:I've recently purchased the Alter Ego Impact Ego w/ Garlic conditoner. I bought it to prevent shedding and to soften my hair. I also have Joico K-pak. Is the Alter Ego considered a protein treatment?

Taken Directly from the Jar:

This special cream, rich of peptydes, vitamins and mineral salts whch derivate from wheat and garlic represents an excellent substitute for hair treatments with animal extracts. It leaves hair soft and strong it is ideal to use on treated hair such as bleached, dyed and permed.

I would say it is a vegetable protein like a wheat, oat, or soy instead of a Keratin or Collagen (animal protein) and would be a mild, safe light plant based protein treatment.
