Deep Thinker
You all weren't joking when you said steamers were the truth! I just got it recently and used it three times and though MEH
... it's not much better than using my heating cap. But this time I used it after my relaxer and boy oh boy, my hair felt like it was the softest EVER. It was so saturated with moisture that it felt like it weighed 5 pounds.
I didn't even want to rinse the conditioner out because it was so bouncy and I wanted to keep the feel of the weight.
I can't remember if I used the ORS pak with it the other times but I know I was using mainly moisturizing DC's but this time I used the ORS pak and it was almost.... can I say....orgasmic the way it felt.
I can tell that this Winter I will be living under my steamer. I still get confused about the cuticle opening/closing thing but I always try to do the final rinse in cool water to trap the moisture in. My hair stayed bouncing and behaving after it dried too.
I did 30 minutes under it. How do you ladies steam for longer than 30 minutes? Because my water always runs low and the alarm sounds to tell you the water is too low so I have to turn it off. And you can't refill it because the container is too hot.
