I just want to say thanks again for all the advice on how to create better twists. I took everyone's advice and decided to redo them. But I didn't get a chance to run to the store so after spraying my hair with my "juice" mix I followed this recipe (using what I had in my cabinets) and applied it to the length of my hair then put a little eco styler on my ends and twirled around my finger. I made them a lot smaller than the first set.

I wanted to share my results .. can't wait to try the products some of you suggested :yep:

Here's my original post (for those of you who haven't seen it yet) on my 1st set of two-strand twists:

It looks like you are taking one strand of hair and twisting it around the other, rather than twisting them both equally. (almost like a comb coil with a strand going around it) I would also make them larger because your hair is so curly. I'm sure why you want to twist your hair though, that curly puff is AMAZING!!!

ETA: I just saw the 1st thread. I like those ones much better. I think what you have to do is focus on moving both strands at the same rate, so they are equally twisted. Also, try the more difficult method where you twist each individual strand clockwise them twist them around each other counterclockwise, that should make them stay. But again, your hair is lovely loose.

The larger the twist the easier they unravel which is why I made them smaller this time around. As my hair dried the two strands actually loosened at the ends and started to form their own spirals as if I never twisted them together in the first place. I'm going to try 3-strand twists hopefully they wont unravel.
