Does anyone still use some of these old school LHCF methods?

I still baggie at times... and I have so much coochie cream that I just rub it on my scalp to get rid of it :look: ... I only do that randomly tho.

Pam Grier said in an article once that when she was little, they would rub urine on her face.

I bet you that you could get the same results from a gentle astringent like Witch Hazel. It's just that using urine seems more "exotic" so some people would rather use that.

Urine therapy has been used for many years for healthy skin, acne etc.....

People use to use the urine from babys' diapers. They use to just take the diapers and rub them on their faces. Urine is acidic, it exfoliates the skin, good for wrinkles too. It also has many vitamins and minerals that great for the skin.

It works. Only, I couldn't do it cause I know it's PEE!:lachen:

Who are these people?? That's creepy. Besides how's a kid supposed to feel if his/her mom lets out that she used to wash her face with their diapers. smh

I've heard from SO many people all through my life that baby pee is the way to clear acne. Never tried it. But people swear by it.

I use ayurvedic products. Not the powders, but products with the herbs and powders in them. I like what they do for my hair.

Hell i'll put pee in my hair for that inch. Now my face i'm not so sure about i might get it in my mouth.I think i'm gonna try this tomorrow?

Well drinking pee is also part of urine therapy. I actually met someone who does it and believes it is the reason he never gets ill. :look:

I've been threatened with divorce if I ever consider using urine anywhere on my body when we have water...and medicine. Now if we're out in the bush with no medicine and there's a wound that needs cleaning, then pee will be acceptable. Otherwise, urine therapy isn't allowed in my home. :giggle: Shame, coz I have seen very beautiful skin thanks to amaroli.

When I had my daughter, my mom would do this. I just couldn't, she use to say she's a baby her urine is pure. I don't care I still wouldn't do it.:nono:

I've done urine therapy (didn't learn from it here) and I had good results though I'm not the most consistent. I still use my Ayurvedic powders

More natural/holistic believers. People who don't put much faith in westernized forms of medicine. At least, that's how I view myself lol

I've heard people use the baby's urine to treat thrush mouth in babies. At one time it was a common practice.

I don't think that surge is even sold anymore. I haven't seen it any bss I've been in.

Man, I knew there was some controversy over the whole Monistat on the scalp thing, but that - in no way - tops URINE THERAPY. Dang it, I need a GIF for this post.

urine is filth. Plain and simple. It is a waste product -

Sometimes people I just wonder...

- I baggy my ends
- I always ate eggs, but I just can't bare the taste of the raw egg anymore so I eat Jay Robbs egg white protein powder to sub or I stick w/my egg breakfast
- I used henna before LHCF too, so yea I still use it, and I do powder rinses sometimes also.

-I learned about MT/OCT here, and I still use these products.

I'm into holistic, natural medicine but waste is waste. Using urine or any other bodily waste for anything is disgusting and can spread disease.

That said, I still have half a bottle of MTG that I plan to use up this winter.
