to WL? I feel like my longest layer is grazing it, but I wanted some other honest opinions. I did a rollerset (failed...here's my thread on it http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=489488) so my hair is stretched.

I know it's a little hard to see where my waist is, but it's around where my right wrist is resting. TIA

It is a little hard to tell. But I would guess only an inch to and inch and a half. So very close. Your hair is beautiful. You will be waistlength very soon.
 
I would say maybe an 1 1/2" to 2", but either way, your hair is bangin' and you'll be there in no time! :)
 
It's kinda hard to tell from that tiny photo or without having a reference point. Coz if you were a little person, it could be a few centimeters, but if you're tall, a few inches.

Why don't you wear a belt and have someone measure for you with a ruler?
 
An inch to an inch and a half, hey...? So I should meet my goal of Dec. '10. I know I won't be full WL by then, but I gave myself another year to reach that goal.

I'm 5'0. I will use a belt next time. Great suggestion. I'm going to take a braid down and take a better pic using a belt. Thanks, Nonie.

You can actually do it yourself. If you wear a belt and stretch your hair as you have and then place a ruler or tape measure touching your fingers and then with the other hand pinch where the ruler/tape measure hits your belt, and voila.

It's really hard to give accurate figures from just looking.

I remember one time when I posted a photo of my stretched hair and called it about 4-5 inches of growth. To some, it looked less than that. It was only when I took a photo of a close up of my fivehead with a tape over it to show how big it is, that folks got a reference to be able to apply to the pic showing my stretched length. My hair was almost double the length of my forehead which confirmed that what people were looking at was what I had said it is.

Those pics are better but I still have one question. How long is your middle finger? No, I'm serious. Give me that and I'll give you the best estimate I can come up with.

:lachen:at the bolded. I have really long phalanges (especially for being so small). It's four inches. But, i'm confused about how that will help you?...

^^Please note that the orange lines represent the distance from the end of your hair to your waist and on that pic the distance is 0.8 cm and by the scale determined by your middle finger, that translates to 1.6 inches. It's all just a case of ratios.

I have a B.A. in English. Not the greatest with mathematics and ratios. :spinning: lol That said, I have no idea how you figured all of that out, but I appreciate it nonetheless.:grin:
