Aw, I'm sorry about your relaxer experience, but you were sooo cute in that BC pic! You have a really pretty face so you definitely pulled off the short natural hair! Are you going to try transitioning again?

If you loved your hair relaxed and short....wear it that way. You look good with short hair!:yep:

Wear your hair the way you like it, NOT the way you think it SHOULD be.:yep:

I loved my hair when it was relaxed and short but I just didn't know what to do with it while it was natural and short. I don't know WHAT I was thinking.

This is when it was relaxed and short a year and a half ago. I felt the prettiest then :ohwell:

I am just so sorry you have scabs and a sore scalp :(. I think you and your mom have a good plan. In addition to the aloe vera, maybe try some neosporin ointment as well. Hopefully your scalp will heal soon (((hugs))). That hairstylist should give your money back.

I think she should too but I'm not even going to go there with her. She is somebody that I would end up fighting. Her attitude is out of this world and not saying anything will save me bail money.

SkysMommy IA with the masses - you are TOO PRETTY to have freaked out! And yes you look great with a short cut! We all have our moments though. Sorry this happened to you.

Hold off on the corrective. Try to schedule a consultation with your reg. beautician and see if she has any good advice to offer.

I tried but I can almost guarantee you that I will never get another relaxer as long as I am alive. I remember now why I don't do relaxers. My hair might be bumping and pretty but my scalp always feels the after effects. Elasta QP is as close as I could ever get to a scab free relaxer but even with it, I still experienced some burning no matter how good I based my scalp.

Whoa, girl ... I can just see you hyperventilating in your bathroom (lol) You probably would have felt better after a few days had passed. But like someone else said... you could have wigged it instead of a relaxer. You said you felt prettiest when it was relaxed and short, maybe you should stick with that look for awhile. :yep:

u actually look really nice with short hair permed AND Natural ,you ll def need a slow transition next time ,also remember you have to get knowledge about natural hair before u go natural.

You have a great face to rock the short hair.. I just don't understand why you would transition , bc then relax again...

Either way the cut looks great on you

oh no ... u shud have come on here and posted that pic before u went and relaxed !!!!

you look great and as angiet1985 said , even without tryin .

ITA, oh man it looks like it was a great BC and now you are totally underprocessed and have sores, I am sorry. We are here for support, in the future if freaking let us know first. I hope it all works out, you still look nice!

Im srry this happened.
:bighug:

I think you look really beautiful with your twa. A co wash + eco styler gel would have been even more Fabulous!

When you first cut your hair you have to give it some days to adjust.. and also give your mind and eyes time to adjust. Your hair actually looks like mines did when i first chopped.:yep:

Just keep your scalp/hair clean and conditioned. Try some aloe and tee tree oil on your scalp. Then maybe get braids after your scalp is healthy again.

I just washed my hair because I needed to soothe the burnt spots and there was tons of hair spray piled on them. When I got out the shower to apply my soothing products, I immediately noticed my some of my coils were still in tact. :lachen: How ironic?! They said "we ain't going no where silly girl so chill out, let your burns heal and let's keep growing"

(((HUGS))) I'm sorry. If your scalp is still burning perhaps you should neutralize again to be safe. Health before hair.

I think most people go throw that "WTH did I just do?", shocked moment after BCing. Maybe you should've have let it soak in a little more before having her mess you up with the perm. I threw on a wig until I felt comfortable because even though I was rocking a short cut the year before while relaxed I did not feel so attractive with my mini fro (which I later came to love and want back). SMDH@ that stylists for doing that to you.

:bighug:

I agree with the other sistas. You looked great with your BC.:yep: I believe you may have had a "cutter's remorse" moment (most of us have). I really wish you could have held off and let the new BC "sink in" before running to that incompetent stylist that burned your scalp. I hope your scalp heals and you can avoid hair breakage.

I'm glad you still plan to transition again. Next time you feel "unpretty" after the BC, let us know, we will definetely keep you encouraged. Please, please do not make hasty decisions like relaxing unless you are absolutely sure that is what you really want to do. Wigs or braids will help until you feel confident to rock the short natural. I think you're beautiful and that short cut is absolutely fierce on you. Good luck!

It's great to see that some of your coils managed to stick with you! I hope you manage to get your scalp together soon.

And hold your head up lady, nothing teaches like experience, so now you have this memory to look back on the next time you are feeling frustrated with your hair. Just take a few moments to breathe! It is never a good idea to cut, chemically alter, or do anything to your hair that cannot be immediately reversed, on a whim or in a moment of frustration. You know that now. By no means should you feel bad about what happened. Just take it as a lesson learned and move forward from here! :yep:

You are by NO MEANS the first black woman to go through something like this! :hug3:

Oh, and BTW, I saw nothing wrong with your BC pic other than the fact that you weren't happy. Still, you looked very pretty. I think you'll do much better this time around because you'll be ready! :)

Thanks. I don't think I can even stand a corrective though. Or can I? My scalp is thumping and burrrnning still. I couldn't even sleep because it hurts so bad.

Give your scalp some well needed rest and TLC. Massage that scalp and wear the cutest weaves, wigs, and quick weave styles you can stand, and wear it with pride....Don't fret. You BC'd for a reason....Its not about LOOKS, its about your scalp's health. I wanted to do the same thing when I BC'd but I took a deep breath...relaxed, and did as much research on being natural as I could....I'd planned on bring natural for 6-8 months then perming again....when I saw how much my hair grew and embraced the texture God gave me I said okay....I'll relax in a few more months and um.....you see how that went....still natural...and its OKAY.

You poor thing. I understand where you are coming from. I bc'ed on Thursday after 7 months of transitioning and although I loved it initially I had a huge freak out moment on Friday when I woke up and my hair was dry and stuck to my head. so I called off work and spent the day in hiding and surfing you tube looking for any and all inspiration I could find. Its a shame that your months of work has been deterred. my advice is to let your hair/scalp recover for a bit and then get braids or a weave and just start over again. by the way you look awesome with short hair.

I'm sorry all of this happened to you, but in all honesty...your hair didn't look bad, imo. :( I thought you looked very pretty, but I guess in the end it really matters what you want.

I'm so sorry this happened!

I think you looked great with the short hair! Girl, freak out and get a wig, not a relaxer!!!!

And don't EVER go to a stylist who complains about your hair!! I went to one who kept saying, "Your hair is so thick!" and pulled out 2 blowdryers and flat irons! She won't ever see me again!

I'm pretty sure some of the other ladies have great advice about how to get through it, I'm sorry that I don't. But you will, I promise. And you still look pretty.

ITA with the bolded like x10, lol.

I'm not going to lie, OP, your experience with your BC is my worse nightmare.

Sorry you went though this.

Im going to have to go with the majority on this one and say you really do have the face for the short chop. Sorry u felt otherwise but ur beautiful regardless hugs*

Sorry that this happened to you and I agree with the others that you are CUTE AS EVER :yep:!! The short hair shows off your eyes and your features! I BCed on Sunday, so I am rocking the BC again for the second time and although I thought long and hard about going short again, I am still getting used to seeing myself with hair this short. It is definitely a mental thing. I also miss my longer hair and wish that I did not have so many hiccups on my journey. However, the good news is that my damaged hair is gone so, I would be happy to start the grow out journey with you, as I still have some texturized ends to cut off :yep:.
