I know most people wouldn't agree on the hair, but I like it. Her hair looks like something out of a high fashion magazine. Definitely not something you would wear on the street. But then again I love artistic statements...

Oh its definitely artistic! I don't think anybody would wear a braid that close to their eyebrow LOL :lachen:

I found it interesting that someone with a straighter hair texture would go for the braided hair look and while the African contestants went for the straight hair look.

Def. high fashion not for everyday. I like the whole look.

Love the crown effect with the braid. Most of you are going to think I'm nuts, but IMO this would make a great special occasion style with a "look out, now!" formal gown.

She's beautiful
They must've teased her hair to make it look that coarse

Yes, she and her hair are gorgeous!

Most Indian women have coarse (large diameter) hair, that's why it's much easier to grow to amazing lengths. Fine hair is extremely fragile and I'd bet a Happy Meal that many of our hair idols tend to have coarser, rather than fine, hair.

I always wondered why leaving a relaxer on my head for 45 minutes resulted in no breakage or visible damage (stylist did it before I knew better) - it's on the coarse side, so more immune to damage.

My Indian neighbor's hair is course so she gets the Japanese thermal to straighten it. Their ideal, she's told me, is silky straight, silky hair.

I'm loving the looks of some of the black contestants too

Ushoshi Sengupta has naturally curly/coarse hair. She's gorgeous...google her!

She is gorgeous. I'm not feeling the picture posted here but I love that she is naturally curly. This is very unusual in Indian culture. Most women who are wavy or curly, do something to straighten their hair.

And from far away, she looks AA to me .....

who knows they got people of African ancestory there. And I like that she leaves it curly. I don't know many Indian women but all of them have super straight hair.

I like it too. There are quite a few wavies and some curlies. They just keep it straight because that's what is seen as beautiful.

these women are making me self conscience lol, they're all so gorgeous. But I love India's hair, it's totally diff and was very high fashion, gotta love Indian hair smh
