Look at the amount of product she uses

I'm not commenting of the rest of the vid (although please feel free to :look:) just the beginning where she is prepping her hair for her quick weave. I lost count of the amount of different products she used in one sitting.

I'm suffering from alot of dryness at the moment so i wonder if that is where i'm going wrong. Maybe i really need to slap my stuff on.

I can't imagine doing that to my head. I can already hear the pores in my scalp screaming for mercy and air. :nono:

But if she likes it, I love it.

I'm so getting a durag for when I wear wigs now... never thought to do that till this video.
The only way I could apply all those things to my hair is if I washed it everyday to get rid of all the buildup. My scalp would itch so bad from all the products on it. I think anything beyond 3 products is excessive.

I'm sure in her mind there is a method to the madness, but I just feel like her scalp can only process so much and the rest that isn't processed is going to turn into buildup which doesn't seem like a good thing...Btw, I stopped after the fourth product she applied...

wow just tooo much product, especially since she applied mostly to her scalp.

on a positive note, i always wanted to learn how to tie a head scarf like that !!

She cannot be serious. The scalp/hair can only take so much, so this is what I call being wasteful. I feel like washing my head after watching that. *shudder*

My hair is usually baggied w/o products and my hair is not dry. I imagine her hair is uber dry. I'd be interested to see just what good this crazy regimen does to her hair. I thought juicing daily was too much but this definitely takes the cake.

I'm still watching and now I'm actually laughing out loud. She makes my mom greasing my scalp with Dax seem so normal now.

ETA: Love how she looks in the end. I'm a sucker for head wraps and that's hawt wearing it over the wig. Makes the "hair" look more believable. *takes notes for the day she buys a wig*

Wow, that was a really annoying YouTube video. She put all that stuff on her head, then a doo rag, then a wig, then a scarf. Just way too much going on.

I looked at her other vids in the vain hope that i could see some hair growth progress but they are all of her in weaves.

She put so much product on her scalp I got tired of watching.

Im with you! I just found that to be terribly pointless and ridiculous. Who does that? After the first two products she heavily slathered on, I turned it off. I know she had a lot of build-up after that.

NO offense but it appears to me that she is desperate to get her hair to grow and she is buying into the marketing campaigns of all these products.
She is slapping on products that are advertised to grow hair...Dr. Miracle, Root Stimulator, Super Gro, etc. It appears, in her opinion, the more "growing" products she slaps on the better.
All those products are probably suffocating her poor hair and scalp and making her hair brittle.

that's just so unnecessary. Doing too much! All those layers of product and stuff she has to be sweating

There are members on this board that are doing the same thing. Instead of dr. miracles and doogrow they are using mn, megatek and beemine/mtg/bountless tresses. And yes there some people using all three at the same time. I have read it here many times on this board.

I would say the same to them. I, personally, do not believe in growth aids. Length requires time, patience, and moisturized hair.

For real though... I don't even have that many products. Maybe she's on a personal Use Up Your Stash challenge. :lachen:

My thoughts exactly

Well perhaps the reason she loads her hair with product is because her hair is under weaves/wig for an extended period of time without being moisturized. Although I don't apply products to my scalp, when I wear wigs, I load my hair with Braid Spray, a heavy moisturizer (curl activator gel or cantu), shea butter, and petroleum jelly (seals my ends). That way I don't have to manipulate or moisturize my hair but once a week :yep:. I've gotten great progress from it. Different strokes for different folk....
