Hey guys, Brittany has posted her Application vids as well as an update vid on her hair on youtube. Just thought I'd share.

I have not watched them all, yet. Personally, I'm a lil bkt'd out right now. But wanted to post for those that are still gathering info. For anyone who is wondering, Brittany has been BKTing for over a year and has recovered her hair from serious damage. She chooses relaxer straight looking results, right out of the shower so she has layered many treatments over treatments to achieve this result. She has super curly, coily hair. She suffered damage after that by putting a curly perm on top but her hair has recovered beautifully. HTH

I hope she stops in, Yodie, but in her fotki she said that she applied curly perm over her texturizer and began to experience breakage. She later bkt'd in order to do damage control (at least, this is what I gathered) and then began to trim away the damage. She said, in her Hair History vid that the bkt did not stop the breakage completely, but allowed her to keep some of the damaged hair. By her update she'd trimmed another inch (since last update) and it's looking full, luscious and long. Congrats Brittany!

By the looks of it she has a whole new head of hair in her update. Really gorgeous.

What damage? Was it from before? In this one it looks thick and gorgeous. It also looks a lot longer.
 
I was watching the video and she blow dries and curls her hair. I'm thinking that bkt is really protecting it because it is growing away and it is looking better and better. I'm not saying I'm going to run out and flat iron every day, but I am saying imagine the results if you were really babying your hair?
 
Lucky, did you see that she only applied BKT to the roots? How often do you think she does this, when does she reapply the whole treatment?

I wish she was a member!!!

Ohhhhh no thank you! Then I would actually have to KNOW it all rather than just be experimenting. How about I'll be an expert after I've BKT'd my way to BSL? Deal? :)

Yeah. I don't think that's an all the time thing. she says in the video her ends were still straight so she was only going to apply it to the roots because they're puffy. As you can use the treatment as much as often I guess you can spot treat your hair. I have to go check my pm to see if she said how often she applies it. She is a member here. She hardly checks her email so it took her a month to get back to me. Let me go see what she says about that...

Your KIDDING, I've definitely watched her vid's before and never knew she was on here.
I am also trying to BKT my way to BSL...we'll see:spinning:

Okay here it is. I'll post her pm response because it wasn't anything private so I don't think it will bother her. If there was some info that was private I'd make sure to keep it so . Just fyi if anyone pm's me (I don't go around posting pm's often but in this case I don't think it's a biggie). Her name on here is brittanynic16. It took her a month to get back to me. I got this response last week:
Sorry for the late response. I don't really visit the forum much anymore. I don't know if you've had the treatment yet. If so I am sure you are enjoying it. To answer your questions...I do the treatment once a month and have been doing so for over a year now. My hair is in the best condition it has ever been in and growing fast. I can't tell you the cost. I still have the same bottle I bought a year ago so I don't remember how much it cost me.
 
Forget the what damage thing question. I understand now. She damaged her hair before, but now bkt's and her hair is thriving.

I wonder how BKT works with a sew in? I want to BKT and wear a sew in for a year. Any info on this?

Sure, go for it! Brittany wore sew ins for a while, also. I'm about to get braids with sew in in the middle so I can keep my hands out of my hair for a while. I think bkt will help me to take my braids down with least amount of damage.

See, I told you that you knew it all. Just teasing. I can't wait for school to let out so I can BKT my hair. Wonder if I can leave the treatment in and wash two days later. I plan on starting with rejuvenol or Global.
 
Her hair has grown a lot. It looks great.

I guess with once a month application it does not fully revert for a long time and she has the straight out of the shower hair.

It's interesting that she just does the roots, like a relaxer touch up.

She does both . She does the whole thing and sometimes roots when they're too fluffy "thick". The cool thing about the bkt which you know and I'm only dreaming of until Aug/sep is that you can use as much as you need, or re touch an area if you didn't do it right. That's what I gathered from her videos and pm stuff.

I feel you, Luckiest Destiny. I have to wait until school let's out before I can BKT my hair without my sew in.

I like the idea of BKTing every month or two months to get that straight look.

This is like a dream come true for me. Yay!!!
