Just started using this 1 week ago. I have all pieces to the 17 min miracle as well as the Roconstruct conditioner and shampoo. However when I used the Chelating poo followed with the Deep penetrating reconstructor my hair just wasn't what I had expected. I plan to do my hair again and want to make sure I understand what to do.
Also what is followup to the treatment? Rollerset, flatiron, airdry? And what do you suggest as a daily moisturizer when done with this treatment? I prefer a PH balanced moisturizer?

When I do the 17 min miracle treatment, I use it in this order:

Joico Chelating shampoo
Clinicure Shampoo
Kpak Cuticle Sealer
Kpak Reconstructor
Matrix biolage hydratherapie Cera-Repair, Clinicure Nourish, Kpak Intense Hydrating Deep Conditioner (mixed together)

I've been on an air drying kick lately so thats what I do now, however I have roller set after the treatment. As a daily moisturizer I use Ojon revitalizing mist and BBD stretch creme or Joico silk results conditioner. I know ojon revitalizing mist and joico silk results conditioner are PH balanced, however I can't make that claim for BBD stretch creme.

Finally a reply-who carries Ojon?

81 people came in-only 2 replies.I know alot of ladies use Joico because I read a thread with a poll about it. The bad thing is of the 81 ladies (whom which were obviously also interested in the thread) no one bothered to even bump this thread. Thanks for the support ladies-Thanks...

I have the K-Pak line and the Moisture Recovery line. I alternate these 2 lines weekly. From the K-Pak line, I only have the k-pak shampoo, conditioner, deep penetrating reconstructor, and the intensive moisturizer.

I use it in this order every other week

Shampoo
Deep Penetrating Reconstructor
Intensive Moisturizer
Conditioner

I basically do the same routine as Charmtresse, just be sure u don't leave the reconstructor on the hair for longer than the recommended time of 5 mins.

I don't do the 17 minute miracle treatment, but I do own the chelating shampoo, regular shampoo, daily conditioner, reconstructor, intense hydrator and the leave in keratin spray. I don't really have a regimen, I use these products as needed, sometimes all together, sometimes mixed and matched with other product lines.
ETA: I used to be a faithful rollersetter after using these products, but I'm really deep in my stretch so I'm airdrying. I don't use the shampoo anymore, at least until I relax.

Thank you to everyone that bumped or shared...Mizz COCO-you seem to have a lot of the pieces to the 17 min miracle-I didn't know Joico had a keratin spray...Anyway I have the reconstructor conditioner but don't know what to do with it. I accidently purchased it when I attempted to get the Deep penetrating recontructor-but decided to keep it!

I guess I might as well get the other pieces of the 17 min miricle! I didn't realize how close I was to completing the collection! Lol I seriously love all things KPAK, and the leave in spray is great_ it's actually recommended for fine hair, and is comparable to using the cream reconstructor! Try it! ETA I use the daily conditioner to co wash or as a light protien prepoo mixed with oils.

Is it ok to use the JOICO K-PAK shampoo, conditioner and liquid reconstructor weekly? I'm going to take out my weave soon and i want to straighten my hair after every wash. I usually air-dry before i straighten

The other option i'm considering is to use the JOICO silk results shampoo, conditioner and the K-PAK liquid reconstructor as my leave in

I wouldn't use it weekly. Too much protein for me.

Here's my routine for using the reconstructor
Clarify with nexxus aloe rid
Shampoo with abba pure moisture
(adds moisture back. Yes, even though it's a shampoo!)
Kpak reconstructor for 5 min
Deep condition with ao honeysuckle rose

I only use as needed because it's too many steps for me!

Sorry about the lack of responses op. It's probably because ppl are asleep! Looks like the post was started in the wee hrs of the am. I'm sure you'll get more responses later.

From the other thread, I think its the 17-MINUTE miracle because by using their prescribed use, you should be able to do all in 17 minutes.

They sell the whole kit as a travel size in my local bss its great and i still continue to use it. I even use the reconstructor as my mid protein step.

They call it the Joico KPAK repair kit and i love it. I follow it pretty much to the letter but i use aphogee 2min after the reconstrutor then mix the intense hydrator with mizani moisturefuse.

When i first got it back in 2009 I tried the whole repair kit on its own for a few weeks to see how my hair responded but i added my own steps with no problems.

Do you guys think the chelating poo is necessary? I use the deep penetrating reconstructor once a week, and using a sulfate-poo everytime is a little too much for me.

I only use the KPAK deep reconstructor after I poo with giovanni TTTT, and before I DC with AOHSR. I also use the KPAK heat protectant leave in before I blow dry. I'm thinking about adding more of the KPAK line in to my regimen because although I'm not seeing breakage, I'd like my hair to feel STRONGER. Does anyone recommend a specific item from the line?

Trackstar, is the leave in heat protectant pretty good? I'm just starting to incorperate some items from the line. Thx

I've used the heat protectant a few times and its good but i didn't think it was worth it. I much prefer the smoothing balm which helps control frizz and is also a heat protectant. I usually add it to my hair damp with a little bit of serum before i air dry and flat iron and the result is usually flawless :yep:

A hair dresser actually recommended adding a bit of the styling oil to damp hair after using the smoothing balm to create a silky blow dry

Can anyone still find 17 minute moisture in a store??
OP I know you asked this long ago but I use Argon oil I don't know its PH thou...

Yea, I agree with the above poster. I'm not sure if its making a difference, but I like that it says its PH balanced. Not sure if I'll buy again.

1) Shampoo with the Joico KPak shampoo
2) Joico KPak reconstructor for 5 mins

I also have the Intense Hydrator ("Replenishes moisture and lipids to overly dry, damaged hair, rendering it manageable, soft, shiny and hydrated.") I'm in love with the K-pak reconstructor but not sure how to encorporate the hydrator into my K-pak regimen.

Overall i really like the 2 products I've tried. Never thought a shampoo would make such a difference but it did. and the K-pak is a staple for sure. My hair loves protein so this line seems pretty perfect for me. I want to try the chelating shampoo next :D

What!? That is a miracle in itself because I looked high and low for the whole set.

I found the box in a local BSS in Westwood NJ. If you are nearby, GO! They sell all Joico products at a discount. I warned the owner that I would tell my LHCF friends about their prices which are much better than Ulta's.

The kit with full sized containers was $29.95 altho the going rate was $50.00. Considering that just one tube of Intense Hydrator is $19 at Ulta or $12.95 on Amazon - it seemed like a GREAT deal.
