IS IT TIME FOR THESE CORNROWS TO GO?

I miss my hair yall. I tried to get everything I could out of these cornrows, but my scalp is starting to itch like mad. I got them done in Zambia for like $7 including the hair, can you believe it. I say I have gotten my money's worth out of them, but manybe I can get more out? What do you think? Should I just wash them and get few more days or should I take them down?

I would wash them and keep them for another couple of days . But is you fell like you have a lot of build up think about the health of you hair first. HTH

It's the weekend so you will have time to take them out. Cornrows only last 3-4 weeks before they start looking bad and since you only paid $7 for them, best believe you got your money's worth.

I'd take them out since your scalp is itchy. Scalp health is important too!

They still look good to me but I can't stand an itchy scalp . I would try washing and conditioning first, moisturizing, and tie down with a scarf. If your scalp is still itchy and/or they look really raggedy after washing I'd take them out.

I'd wash them with diluted poo and cond and oil my scalp and stretch them for another week.

Yea, It's time to take them out, you should probably do it this weekend. I also had mine in for a month, and I took them out about 3 days ago. It was time. The parts were beginning to slowly disappear.

Oh, and I also wash my hair with shampoo every week just like I would if my hair was loose. I makes sure I get the parts to avoid buildup.

I don't think they look bad. I would be more concerned with the hair health esp if you are having itchy scalp. I would hate for you to have a setback from some cornrows.

I think I am going to do a thorough wash and condition tonight and see what tomorrow brings. if they look crazy, then they will be done with.

They still look great. I would try to wash them in an keep them in for a week longer...but I know how serious HIH Disease is and how sometimes you just need a fix. Eitherway, you definitely got your money's worth.

Baggying is just covering your hair with plastic. Could be a plastic cap, plastic bag, Saran wrap.

I recommend Saran wrap because you'll wrap it around your head and it'll press down on the hair so it lies flat. The moisture will also make your hair curl back and stay down.

Well they are the same cornrows you see in the do below. Secret was to brush the "beads" along the hairline back toward the cornrows, then Saran wrap. In the AM, I had neat cornrows that I could wear with a new look in the back:

The only concern I'd have OP is because you're using products, your hair may start to lock/knot up, so that's the only reason I'd undo, not to mention you're getting them done cheaply. Also if you don't rinse properly after you wash, that residue could encourage locking.

If you're unsure, better safe than sorry so just go pay another $7.

Love the style but those braids are pretty much done, imo. Once cornrows start to get frizzy and you can actually notice the ng, it's time for them to go.

But $7 for a month of not having to worry about your hair? You definitely got your money's worth!

Thanks Ladies. I wish I was in Zambia so I can get them redone
but I am not and I am not about to pay $50 for cornrows anytime soon. Eventually I will because I will need a break and I wont be going back to Zambia anytime soon.

So I washed them and all that and I think they look ok, but I is just missing my hair. So I think I will take them down tomorrow and show yall my progress
