First of all, wow at the length. Secondly, I do not like the end result at all. She has strong features and I think they should of kept it just a tad longer.

if this was me (ha ha) i would cut it to full WL, thats it! after that, throw some rollers in it and have a bouncy rollerset. why do people always want to cut their hair. i dont get it.

I usually hate the way stylists always wanna cut hair short and get so scissor happy but I thought the short cut really flattered her

She needed to lose a good 6 inches at least though because her ends were DONE.

Her hair will be back to that same length in like 2 yrs flat she aint sweatin it!

My mom had long hair and when she got it cut, she kept the braid they cut off in a drawer. For all I know it's still there. I imagine this lady will keep hers as well. Disembodied hair... not so much.

I liked the cut on her, she looks more mature (not old though) with it and the hair looks A LOT healthier. Her ends looked nearly fried so it's good she basically cut near to her roots to take off all that straggly excess.

Awh, that was sweet.
It was Dutch so let me translate.
She started growing her hair since she was 8 years old, so it took her 24 years to get where she was! And yes, she's donating it to make wigs for children. Her hair was enough to make two wigs.

I did like the end result, it must feel so different for her, but she seemed happy.

I was about to say that I would have only cut it BSL, but since her hair is being donated to Locks of Love I can understand why she cut it so short.

The long hair was a little gross and aged her. The short hair is cute. I felt bad when she cried.

I'm gonna admit, I was a tad bit offended at first when I read that comment . But then I thought, eh, there is definitely some truth in that anyway, and for all we know, it could have well been a black woman herself who wrote that. And then I lol'd

Funny, b/c my first thought was that it was a black woman who made the comment. It never occurred to me that it may have been someone of another race, until your comment.

And I liked her hair much better after the cut. I like the look of long hair, but once it gets so long, I think it becomes unflattering, especially if their is no style or layers to it and the ends look chewed up. The cut flattered her face and in opinion took some years off her face.

I agree that she could have used a cut... the ends were scraggly.

but I wouldn't have cut so much! And I think the final result was just ok. Not crazy about it.

Overall I liked it more before. Ultra long doesn't bother me.

This confirmed for me that I don't like the look of hair grown past waist length.

She looks great after the cut, I didn't notice she had a face before the cut.
