i voted Lightly moisturized and lightly oiled! Not Wet.

if my hair feels wet once its dried i know i used too much juice. if it feels dry and crunch, not enough juice and sealing.

most days i have it down pact... but every so often the pj in me gets the best of me and i throw off my reggie. luckily now because of the nf sub i have found a better way to express my pj'ism so i can let my hair be

My hair feels soft...until i get to the last inch, then it feels a lil crisp sometimes.

I don't really put any product or oils on it during the week. I know that's bad. (I'm having some trouble finding a leave-in. I'm looking for one that's creamy yet doesn't have 'cones, parabens, patroleum, mineral oil, or preservatives I don't like. It's a tall order LOL)

Sometimes just moist and other times ugh oily and greasy but thankfully not dry and brittle, those days are done!

I wish I could touch everyone's hair because I don't know how mine feels. I mean, people who I allow to touch my hair always comment that my hair is soft but when I feel my hair it seems so dry. When I'm stretching, my roots are moisturized for a hot minute and then they are desert dry again. I have no idea what's going on.

Yeah... it's a little strange to be the only one who's like... I have hard hair.

*jealous of all you soft haired ladies* :)

You know, it depends how you touch it. If I am touching my head with my palm, or grabbing large sections it feels soft. But each individual curl feels firm. I feel the firmness when I grab or pull them. Or, I feel resistance when I squeeze the coil; it eventually gives, but bounces back with a quickness. Very similar to what happens when you try to squeeze a phone cord...

Neith, don't feel strange. My hair was feeling "rough" no matter what I did...moisture, protein, DC, etc. But i used Elucence Moisture Balance Conditioner yesterday as a leave in for the first time and it made my hair dry soft like a fluffy cloud. I used a little Castor Oil with it and my hair is like night and day! No lie. It's like :lick:

My hair always looked nice, but it felt like straw or hard. I would have been embarrassed if someone touched it. Here's pics of it with the Elucence and Castor Oil. BTW, today, I used some Eco Styler Clear gel with the Elucence and my hair has all these white flakes and doesn't look as good. Back to yesterdays combo.

Do you think the flakes are due to Elucence or the gel? I ask b/c I just purchased the clear Eco Styler gel for the first time yesterday. :perplexed They were all out of the Olive Oil version.

I guess the flakes are due to the combo of Eco clear gel and Elucence mixed. I use Eco Clear gel often with Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, or EVOO and i never have flakes. And when I mix the gel with one of the oils, my hair doesn't have any crunchy feel. It's just not as soft as the Elucence hair with Castor Oil. The Elucence hair is super soft.

My really is really soft now. Thank goodness! I've been moisturizing with Care free Gold and Joico Moisturizer, and using crisco to seal. I think I have to step back on spraying my hair everyday because although it's not dripping/wet, I have oil on my hands when I touch my hair. I hate that.

I know most of us change it up sometimes but what does your hair feel like in your "go to" everyday styles and what is more comfortable and easy for you???

My hair feels soft, smooth, thick, well-moisturized, and silky. My hair is very manageable and nice to the touch. I am truly pleased with the way that my hair feels on a daily basis!

Ediese, your hair is beautiful! I was surprised that you use Crisco to seal. What influenced you to try Crisco as a sealant?

Thanks for your reply!

It feels very soft and moist, but not wet. I don't like for my hair to feel heavy weighed down and greasy. I never use grease, but even with oils I tend to be heavy handed at times.:ohwell:

My hair is dry soft and smooth when you run your fingers along the hairs.

I do have some crunchy days here and there though...

Thank you! :-) I've tried just about everything to have nice, soft moisturized hair. Nothing worked. I saw a thread on another board re: using crisco along with a moisturizer to get really nice moisturized hair.

I tried it on a kinky weave that I was wearing, and I was surprised at how well it worked. I tried it on my real hair, and the results are amazing! My hair doesn't looks far from dry, and it's the first time I can actually get my comb to glide through my dry hair with no product. It's amazing!

Mine normally feels soft and curly, and moisturized. Sometimes if I've put on too much oil I can feel the oil, but that's rare.
